Rich DJ Calvin Harris Buys His Old Pub in Scotland
Calvin Harris has reportedly bought the unassuming Scottish pub he used to frequent before amassing his £230 million fortune.
While the world’s richest DJ, 41, might now be sober, he apparently could not pass up the opportunity to own the Coach & Horses pub in Dumfries.
The DJ is reported to have gone into business with his best friend Mark Irving to take over the local, which is said to be thriving despite the economic challenges obliterating many boozers in the UK.
A source told The Sun: ‘Calvin and Mark have gone into business together and created a company called To The Nines.
‘They’ve now taken over the Coach & Horses and Mark is in place as the landlord.
‘It’s a gorgeous pub with a great atmosphere. It’s a great grass-roots music venue too, which is something they’re both really proud of.’

As a regular patron here, I won’t be taken aback when I spot the DJ; his signed photo on the wall is a familiar sight.
The source added: ‘Calvin used to drink there before he got famous and there is a signed poster for his first album on the wall.
‘It’s a hard time for pubs but the Coach & Horses Inn is thriving.’
As a die-hard admirer, I’ve always been captivated by the enigmatic figure known as Calvin, but little did I know that he was actually none other than Adam Wiles, my beloved local hero! This fascinating revelation was shared by John Owens, a man who had the privilege of knowing him personally.
He said: ‘Calvin, or Adam, is a pleasant chap, always has been.
‘We’re all proud of him.
‘When he’s home he’ll pop in if he gets the chance.’

Previously, it was disclosed that Calvin’s alcohol consumption had gotten out of hand, leading him to make the decision to stop consuming alcohol permanently since 2014.
He confessed, via a post on Twitter, that he regularly drinks two bottles of whisky each evening and also enjoys eating various pastries from Greggs.
The DJ wouldn’t suggest anyone drink two bottles of Jack Daniel’s every night and survive on Greggs pastries, as it left him in a terrible state.
Although Harris acknowledged during his 2018 interaction with fans that his life has become somewhat less enjoyable, his health condition has shown improvement.
He wrote: ‘Aye things are a bit less fun but haven’t had an arrhythmia since 2014 [sic]’
A arrhythmia is a condition where your heart beats irregularly. The National Health Service (NHS) has identified several possible causes, such as alcohol consumption, smoking, and certain medications.
