RHOSLC’s Meredith Marks has thoughts about Whitney Rose and her “opinions”

As a long-time fan of “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City,” I must say that Meredith Marks is truly finding her voice and standing up for herself this season, which is nothing short of refreshing to watch! Her recent verbal tussle with Whitney Rose about the difference between opinions and labels is a perfect example.

In the fourth season of “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City,” Meredith Marks seemed to assert herself more, becoming clearer about her feelings and not hesitating to express them boldly. This was particularly evident when she asked Angie Katsanevas to leave a dinner party.

Approaching season 5, Marks is no longer content with holding her tongue. One of the women who has caught her attention is none other than Whitney Rose. Known for expressing strong opinions, Whitney isn’t shy about voicing them. However, it appears that her statements aren’t always opinions, and as Meredith pointed out in a recent interview, it seems more like Whitney is assigning labels to people instead.

According to Reality Tea, Meredith Marks had plenty to say about Whitney Rose and her “opinions.”

I think that you know, Whitney says things and just has no regard for the consequences of the things that she says. And she’ll speculate on things and say them as if they’re facts. Or you know labeling someone is not an opinion. You know … she’s like, ‘This is my opinion.’ Well calling someone a villain, that’s not an opinion. That’s a label. That’s degrading their character. It’s not just an opinion, you know?

Moreover, Marks didn’t just pause at that point; she aimed to make certain her audience grasped the depth of her thoughts regarding Rose and her views. (Meredith has a knack for expressing herself clearly.)

So what else did Meredith have to say about the difference between an opinion and a label?

Like if somebody said horrible things about her and said, ‘That’s my opinion.’ Those are two different things. Your opinion is talking about actual behaviors, not labels, you know what I’m saying? I mean, sure, if she thinks it’s okay to express all her opinions then I guess we should, too.

It appears that Meredith and Whitney seem to be encountering problems, which, unfortunately, isn’t too unexpected given their past history of highs and lows. As the new season unfolds, it seems that their lives as housewives are filled more with challenges rather than successes.

A unique trait about Whitney Rose, as a housewife, has always been her uncensored nature. She rarely holds back, even if her words might unintentionally harm others, like Meredith Marks. This time, it looks like Rose’s openness may have crossed a line with Marks, who is unlikely to tolerate such freedom of speech without consequences.

What do you think about what Meredith Marks had to say about Whitney Rose? Do you agree with Marks and her assessment of the things that Rose says? Do you think these two women will have a rough season?
