RHOS Nicole O’Neil Blasts Osher Gunsberg & Binge Over Budget Controversy: ‘Convenient Narrative’

Nicole O’Neil, a cast member from Real Housewives of Sydney, took to Instagram to voice her concerns and address issues surrounding production budgets, following an intense reunion episode that brought her under scrutiny, in reference to Osher Gunsberg and Binge.

The television personality, aged 45, who has consistently appeared on the program since it first aired in 2017, did not show up for the season three finale on Tuesday evening. This omission was noted by the TV host as her co-stars sat on the couch during the broadcast.

Terry Biviano, from RHOS, criticized the housewife for choosing to participate through a video call instead of being physically present. Later, Osher mentioned that Binge had offered to cover her flight expenses, but she refused. This could suggest that she wasn’t content with economy class travel.

Currently, Nicole has addressed the explosive allegations on Instagram, responding forcefully and providing evidence to support her stance.

In a public post, the business owner shared a series of emails exchanged with Binge, demonstrating that the producers were aware of her previous commitments abroad when scheduling the reunion.

In her post’s caption, she dramatically stated: ‘It’s essential to distinguish between absence and being misled. In discussions about obligations, let’s focus on truths instead, @osher_gunsberg.’

She disclosed that the reunion was recorded well beyond the standard filming period, as earlier planned shoots for various overseas locations had unfortunately not materialized.

Once again this year, they arranged the reunion at a time that I had previously mentioned I couldn’t make.

After being asked to cover the cost of travel, Nicole later disclosed the modest sum that the producers had proposed for her return journey to Australia.

As a die-hard enthusiast, I can tell you that I wasn’t given the chance to secure an “economy ticket.” Instead, I was presented with a paltry sum, scarcely sufficient for a single journey, and strangely enough, less than a month before the filming began.

As a committed follower, I find myself undertaking a journey that spans over 48 hours, which inevitably disrupts crucial work responsibilities. This long-awaited reunion, originally scheduled months ago, is still happening despite the delay.

I went to great lengths to participate remotely through satellite. However, it wasn’t me who crafted the plot, the production team did so instead, and it appears that the storyline works quite advantageously for us.

The intense reunion episode for The Real Housewives of Sydney aired on Tuesday evening, brimming with arguments, heated confrontations, and relationships reaching their end.

Nevertheless, the remark concerning Binge’s budget during the reality show’s final episode was truly surprising, following numerous weeks of speculation about the streaming platform’s financial constraints.

TV presenter Osher greets Krissy Marsh, Caroline Gaultier, Victoria Montano, Sally Obermeder, Terry Biviano, Kate Adams, and Martine Chippendale on the couch, however, he specifically mentions that one of the housewives is absent from this gathering.

He shared with viewers that Nicole wouldn’t be on the couch tonight, because she wasn’t able to attend the final episode of the third season. However, he mentioned that she would join them remotely via a video call from the United Kingdom.

As a lifestyle expert, I’d like to emphasize that we all agreed to participate in this shared experience, understanding the demands it would place upon us. Missing a crucial moment like the sit-down was something we all aimed to avoid, given the sacrifices we made to be part of this show.

Instead, Victoria interrupted to disclose the true explanation behind Nicole’s absence during the reunion.

‘She did offer to come back,’ Victoria iterated.

She expressed, “I expect you to cover the cost of my flight, and then I will attend,” to which they responded, “unfortunately, no.” This seems to be a statement directed towards the team at Binge, according to her words.

Terry inquired, “Isn’t it unfair if they have to cover her airfare costs? She altered family arrangements to attend the wedding, you know.

TV host Osher swiftly dismissed Victoria’s heated claim by stating that it was actually Nicole who declined Binge’s travel plans.

Indeed, Victoria was prepared to return by air, and there was funding set aside for this. However, the arrangement was for economy class travel, which wasn’t satisfactory,” he stated.

She swiftly countered, saying, “I completely concur with you, it’s quite an exhausting journey, that flight is indeed long.

Later on, Terry returned to the standoff, querying Nicole as to why she didn’t elevate her status if she wasn’t content with the quality of the flight ticket.

Victoria dramatically stated, “As it often doesn’t involve personal payment for work-related costs, I believe that ends our discussion on this matter.

Daily Mail Australia has reached out to Binge for comment.
