RHONJ’s Dolores Catania reveals what almost came between her and boyfriend Paul
As a fan who has been following Dolores Catania and Paul Connell’s journey on “The Real Housewives of New Jersey,” I must admit that their relationship seems like a breath of fresh air amidst the usual drama. However, even strong relationships can face unexpected challenges, as we learned when menopause almost became the unwelcome third party in their union.
For three years running, Dolores Catania and Paul Connell from “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” have been a steady pair, rarely showing any significant issues on-screen and typically avoiding the main drama. However, their storyline on RHONJ does involve speculation about their future together, with marriage as a possible option.
As much as I’d love to tie the knot with Paul, I find myself caught up in the complexities of his current marital situation. He needs to be officially divorced from his ex before we can move forward. Yet, it seems like this isn’t causing any major hiccups for us, a testament to our trust and faith in each other. Given that I’m known as the neutral ground among the RHONJ wives, it’s no surprise that my relationship remains relatively serene compared to some of the more tumultuous dynamics we witness within the group.
The primary cause of Dolores and Paul almost breaking up had nothing to do with his unresolved divorce or romantic entanglements. Instead, it appears that menopause was the underlying issue, according to Reality Tea.
In her mid-fifties, Dolores Catania has been experiencing menopause, and it appears that the hot flashes have created challenges in her relationship with Paul Connell. During this phase of her life, she had to address these issues and navigate how they affected her and Paul.
“Menopause is such a thing. I’m thinking of going more deep [sic] into it and maybe getting some more menopause products for women. Because I lived it. Me and Paul almost broke up over it. The heat, the thermostat. And it doesn’t matter. It doesn’t discriminate,” Catania shared.
From my perspective, it’s understandable that a significant life transition like menopause could potentially stir up challenges within relationships. Though they seem to be holding steady, it’s intriguing to witness how close they came to parting ways due to this phase of life.
