RHONJ star Jennifer Aydin responds to Jersey Mike’s employee’s viral rant and claims she was not rude at all

On New Year’s Day, I found myself embroiled in a heated dispute, all stemming from a video I shared on my Instagram story. In the heat of the moment, I expressed my frustration over slow service at an airport Jersey Mike’s and, unfortunately, targeted an elderly employee. To make matters worse, another staff member took to social media and shared a viral rant about me, referring to me as a foolish woman. As Aydin began recording, a different customer warned her that if the video she was about to post showed her ‘fake jewelry,’ he would take legal action against her.

This means our travel party often includes nine people. At one point, we connected with another family of six that’s related to me – my cousin’s family. So, when you count everyone up, there are fifteen of us! To make things even bigger, two more families joined us at the airport.’

Aydin and her spouse Bill, aged 51, successfully passed through the security checkpoint. Meanwhile, Aydin and her cousin Susie joined a queue outside Jersey Mike’s.

According to Aydin, Jersey Mike’s didn’t open until 5:30. Around 5:45 am, my cousin and I joined the queue, and there were not many people waiting at that time. Despite the slow pace, we decided not to complain.

Instead of heading straight back to the same kiosk, Susie visited another one first, only to rejoin Jennifer later on. However, her actions were perceived by some as jumping ahead in line, or “cutting” it.

She didn’t allow her to make a cut, instead ordering four sandwiches herself. However, she had only ordered one sandwich for her kids who desired to share it. Taking care of their meals was her responsibility at that moment. She expressed this by saying, “I’m in mom mode, trying to simply get my kids food.

She mentioned that once she reached the head of the queue, they processed her order as well as the one from the woman behind her. However, they served the woman behind her first, causing a bit of tension.

As I was crafting Jennifer’s lunchtime treat, her dear husband, Bill, popped in and requested an additional sandwich for their little one. However, when it came time to grab that extra sandwich, the kind staff member politely asked me to join the queue once more, signaling a short wait before we could all enjoy our meals together.

Aydin clarified, “I pointed out that you served her sandwich before me without my saying a word, and there’s no camera here. By the way. It seemed like she understood, because she looked at me and then said, ‘Well, then the person behind you has to give permission.’

The fellow standing in back of her remarked, “Well, it’s quite absurd… that you’re stacking yet another sandwich,” as she replied, “The atmosphere is tense. I’m aware that I’ll likely be held responsible for something, and I intend to maintain my composure.

Aydin confessed that his intention behind recording (which unfortunately didn’t go as planned) was to prove he wasn’t losing his temper. He was simply capturing a view through the window, and at that moment, the person wasn’t even part of his concern.

Afterward, he declared himself as a legal scholar and threatened to take legal action against her for sharing the video, claiming it contained fake diamonds.

You never know who you might offend, and I was going to call him out on it. … To be honest, I was furious at this person for speaking to me in such a rude manner. However, during the incident, I made sure not to be impolite towards the staff at Jersey Mike’s.’

In the video, they were still preparing my sandwich without me having completed payment or checked out. This led to an argument because they told me to wait in line or seek permission from another person, which was uncalled for. They shouldn’t have done that, and it’s all about customer service. I’m starting to understand now that being a celebrity doesn’t help in such situations as people are quite upset about it. So, I won’t mention my celebrity status anymore, but clearly, this incident wouldn’t have gained as much attention if I weren’t a well-known figure, Aydin emphasized.

Eagerly sharing my experience, I felt compelled to expose their less-than-gracious behavior towards me. In retrospect, perhaps I didn’t handle the situation perfectly. I admit my mistakes, but during that moment, I was far from impolite to the staff.

Ayden emphasized, “We’ve all experienced similar situations. However, I’m coming to understand that, given my status as a public figure, every word I utter and action I take is under close examination. Consequently, it’s crucial for me to set an example.

Instead of posting the video initially was incorrect, she admitted, but she believed an apology was necessary from Jersey Mike’s and the supposed law professor.

She keeps harassing me with nonstop criticism. I feel compelled to express regret for my inappropriate remark about the worker and my behavior, but that’s as far as my apology goes. It’s great they’re benefiting financially from this situation – at least something positive will come their way from it.
