RHOC’s Tamra Judge, 57, reveals pain from ‘brutal’ brow lift and CO2 laser treatment – as she swears off having more plastic surgery
I admire Tamra Judge for her unapologetic approach towards her personal choices and experiences, particularly when it comes to plastic surgery. Her candidness about her procedures is refreshing, as she openly shares the ups and downs of the process with her followers. This level of transparency can help break stereotypes and normalize discussions around cosmetic enhancements.
Television personality Tamra Judge from Real Housewives of Orange County has pledged to cease plastic surgery procedures following a painful brow lift, CO2 laser facial treatment, and chemical peeling that left her in severe discomfort.
The television personality, who opted for cosmetic surgery as her own special 57th birthday present, has been lying in bed for several days while recuperating from the operations.
‘The pain is coming in different ways,’ she told DailyMail.com on Tuesday.
Initially, a severe pain gripped my forehead for an unyielding three days. I found myself unable to endure the sound of voices or keep the television humming. Instead, all I could manage was to remain motionless in one place.
After a few days, it was my teeth that started aching, followed by my sinuses, and now my entire face feels stiff. Each day seems to bring a new discomfort.
The judge has made arrangements to have a completely empty schedule over the coming fortnight, dedicating all her time to healing instead.
When queried about her recent surgery, Judge openly acknowledged that she wanted to correct an imbalance from a facial procedure performed in 2017.
She mentioned that she underwent a minor facelift focusing on her lower face, which left her upper facial features looking somewhat saggy compared to her youthful-looking lower half, as she put it.
‘So I felt like, you know what, I’m going to go ahead and get a brow lift!’
Upon visiting the esteemed cosmetic surgeon Dr. Donald Mowlds in Newport Beach, he proposed an additional course of action: a CO2 laser therapy and a blue chemical peeling session. These treatments aim to improve both the feel and look of her skin.
‘I have a lot of brown spots and fine lines and stuff like that, so it’s supposed to take 10 years off your skin. So I said, “Sure, let’s do it” – not knowing that the CO2 laser was going to be this brutal!’
Judge admitted that she had decided to splash out on the procedures as a gift to herself.
She expressed that the gift was meant for herself on her birthday, and since she was already 57 years old, she decided it was time to accomplish it. As 60 was approaching, she felt it would be best to do it sooner rather than later, because eventually there might come a point where she no longer feels as motivated to care.
Contrary to some other Real Housewives, Judge emphasized the significance of being “honest and straightforward” regarding her cosmetic procedures.
‘I prefer not to give the impression that I’m idle and this is my current appearance. Plus, if I can inspire someone else to think, “You know what? That looks interesting, I want to do it too, I want to feel good about myself,” then why not?’
Regarding the future, it appears she is planning to concentrate on maintaining a balanced lifestyle by adopting a healthy diet and regular physical activity. She does not intend to undergo any additional procedures.
Judge has been documenting her excruciating recovery process on social media.
On a Sunday, she posted about the third day of her healing process, showing noticeably more swelling on her face and peeling skin. She informed her audience that her skin seemed as if it might rupture.
She expressed, “It seems like things can only get more difficult. It’s clearly becoming gooey, and it’s hard for me to keep my eyes open.”
On day three, the swelling is speaking loud and clear. Advancement may not always be attractive, but it’s definitely taking place, as she conveyed in her post along with the video.
As someone who closely follows these matters, I’m sharing that the inflammation I’m experiencing is due to the CO2 laser treatment. It extends right across my chest, and I believe describing how it feels might help others understand. Imagine a tender, warm sensation, similar to what you’d feel if you overexposed your skin to sunlight for an extended period.
The Traitors star later returned at the end of the day, sharing another update.
She mentioned that her throat is experiencing a slight discomfort due to the tube inserted inside it. She wanted to keep you informed about this situation, as clearly as possible under the circumstances.
It’s clear that the explosion was caused by the CO2 laser, and I’m hoping for a change in events tomorrow.
She expressed, displaying her cleavage area, “My small patch of irritated skin here, around my neck and chest, is quite noticeable. It’s swollen significantly, but thankfully it’s not painful. Instead, it has a tight, constricting sensation.”
1. Dr. Mowlds assures me that I’ll make progress from now on, which makes me optimistic. However, things appear as they should overall. It looks good and well-done.
1. Her 1.8 million followers gave a variety of opinions on her posts, with some appreciating her openness regarding cosmetic surgeries and others voicing worries about the societal pressure to stay young-looking.
As a lifestyle advocate, I truly appreciate your openness regarding the cosmetic enhancements you choose – a rarity in today’s world where many tend to hide or downplay such choices. Your honesty resonates with me deeply, and it’s this authenticity that I admire. Sending heartfelt emojis as a token of my respect and support! 💗💗
‘The benefits aren’t enough compared to the dangers. Let’s put an end to the excessive pursuit of shallow beauty at the expense of our well-being. Instead, why not utilize your influence to spread messages about self-love and self-acceptance? That’s just my personal opinion on this topic.’
Tamra openly discusses her journey with cosmetic surgeries. Back in 2017, she opted for a lower facelift procedure.
She said, referring to it as a return or resurgence, during her visit to Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen in 2018.
‘It’s just a mini. Don’t call it a facelift, call it a comeback!’
