It’s a major snub that Better Call Saul never won any Emmys, but Rhea Seehorn’s performance in Pluribus might finally earn her one. Better Call Saul was consistently one of television’s best shows for all six seasons, offering an even more detailed look at a flawed character than its acclaimed predecessor, Breaking Bad.
Despite consistently strong performances, Better Call Saul never won an Emmy. Rhea Seehorn deserved an award for her portrayal of Kim Wexler, and Bob Odenkirk was equally deserving for playing Jimmy McGill and his different personas. The show itself was consistently overlooked. Hopefully, Seehorn’s new series will finally give her the recognition she—and Better Call Saul—deserved.
Pluribus Can Win Rhea Seehorn The Emmy She Should’ve Gotten For Playing Kim Wexler

Vince Gilligan, the creator of Breaking Bad, returns with a new, captivating series called Pluribus. This chilling paranormal thriller, available on Apple TV, blends the elements that made his previous shows so successful. Like Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, it’s a compelling character study set in Albuquerque, but it also shares the intriguing sci-fi mystery of The X-Files.
Gilligan created the main character with Rhea Seehorn in mind. She portrays Carol Sturka, a novelist who uses a tough, sarcastic exterior to hide from a strange virus that transforms everyone else into an overly cheerful, unified consciousness. Seehorn is already delivering a brilliant performance in Pluribus, and many believe this role could finally earn her an Emmy award.
I’ve been really impressed with Carol. She and Kim share so much – they’re both strong-willed, self-reliant women really dedicated to their careers, and they always seem to do what’s right, even when everything around them is messed up. I honestly think her work on Pluribus could finally get Rhea Seehorn the Emmy she deserves for Better Call Saul. The Emmys are always competitive, but she’s definitely a frontrunner right now, in my opinion.
Pluribus Could Be An Emmy Contender For More Than Just Outstanding Lead Actress

Though Rhea Seehorn is receiving a lot of well-deserved attention for her acting, Better Call Saul has many other strengths that could earn it Emmy nominations. Vince Gilligan’s writing and directing, Dave Porter’s music, and Karolina Wydra’s performance as Zosia have all been outstanding and could also be recognized with nominations.
Vince Gilligan, the creator of the acclaimed series Breaking Bad, is a major force in television. His new show, Pluribus, is already receiving rave reviews and is considered by many to be the best new series of the year – and that’s high praise considering the strong competition from shows like The Studio, The Chair Company, The Lowdown, and Adolescence that have already premiered in 2025. It’s likely Pluribus will receive significant recognition, and many well-deserved nominations, at the next Emmy Awards.
