Kadokawa Corporation has declared that their 3D Role-Playing Game, titled “Re:ZERO – Starting Life in Another World Witch’s re:surrection”, which had its initial reveal at Anime Japan 2023 in March 2023, will be ceasing operation on May 30, 2025. Pre-registration for this game began in July 2024, and it was launched for play in Japan in August 2024.

Title Reframe: “Re:ZERO – Starting a New Life in Another World: Witch’s Rebirth” is a 3D Role-Playing Game based on the renowned Re:ZERO novel series. Players can embark on thrilling adventures with companions, participating in distinctive semi-automatic command battles. The game showcases characters such as Subaru, Emilia, Rem, and others that are well recognized within the series.

Sadly, it was announced by KADOKAWA that the game will come to an end on May 30, 2025. They expressed their regret for this decision, saying, “We sincerely apologize for ending our service.” The reason behind the closure remains undisclosed.

After this announcement, it’s important to note that the sale of “Magic Rainbow Crystals” has come to an end. If you currently own some, feel free to keep using them. The fun doesn’t stop there! Enjoy their magic for as long as you still have them until we officially cease operations on the given termination date.

Great news! The game is going to provide refunds starting from May 30, which coincides with the EOS (End of Service). To confirm your identity during the refund process, you’ll need your unique refund number. Just be mindful not to spend any Crystals you’ve already paid for if you decide to request a refund, as only those that remain unused are eligible.

On the upside, developers have planned several engaging in-game activities ahead. Moreover, players will receive 10 free gacha tickets daily for characters, with increased gacha rates for characters during login bonuses, which continue until the end of service (EoS) date. Here are the scheduled events:

• Regulus Assault, which is live now, is running until April 17.
• Roy Attacks from April 17 to May 1.
• Summer Birth2024 Swimsuit Fun! from May 1 to May 15.
• And, the Holy Snow Festival from May 15 to May 29.

It’s disappointing that this game set in such a well-known series didn’t last longer and hasn’t made it to its first anniversary. Given the End of Series (EoS) announcement, many fans weren’t taken aback since they had anticipated this outcome.
