
The upcoming rerelease of “Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith” is projected to rank among the most profitable debuts for Disney-era “Star Wars” re-releases. To honor its 20th anniversary, this third prequel movie will be screened in cinemas once more for fans’ delight. Notably, this rerelease is happening around the same time as the Star Wars Celebration and the premiere of “Andor” season 2.
Based on Deadline’s report, the re-release of Revenge of the Sith is projected to earn between $21 million and $23 million during its debut weekend. If these predictions hold true, it would surpass all other Disney-era re-releases and potentially even outperform the 1997 re-releases of Return of the Jedi and The Empire Strikes Back, which earned $16 million and $21.9 million respectively in their opening weekends.
