During the production he had to kiss male co-star Jarrod Emick on stage, and reflecting on the moment he thinks sparked the rumours, Jackman shared: ‘I was literally just locking lips… I started to laugh so hard.
So I continued to kiss him, thinking to myself, “I’ll just laugh this off. I’ll remain here until it passes,” but it never passed, and as a result, everyone in the audience could see me trembling, which led them to notice.
In the 2018 interview, he mentioned that some individuals may become upset or deny being gay, but he affirmed his comfort with himself by saying, ‘I am alright.’
Once “The Boy from Oz” concluded its run on Broadway and started being performed in Australia in 2006, Jackman was no longer obligated to kiss his on-stage partner.
In a conversation about taking out the kiss, Murray Bartlett, his new collaborator, clarified that they aimed for a straightforward and innocent approach: ‘We simply wanted to maintain a straightforward and unadulterated feel.’
Initially, a same-sex kiss wasn’t included in the musical when it debuted in Australia in 1998. It was introduced into the script for the first time during the Broadway production that started in 2003.
Images surfaced showing Jackman engaging in shirtless runs on the beach with his attractive fitness coach, which quickly earned him admiration from the LGBTQ+ community and made him an immediate heartthrob.

On Anh’s Brush with Fame, Furness dismissed the gossip, expressing her disapproval with a roll of her eyes and stating: “These publications can be so cruel… I wish everyone understands it’s just fabricated.
She added: ‘[Hugh’s] been gay for so many years, I was gay too when I did [the 1988 film] Shame. They were shocked when I got married.
It’s completely inappropriate. It would be as if someone were to tell Elton John, “He’s heterosexual,” which I’m certain would make him quite annoyed!
‘And so what! What are we discussing here… Is he a vegetarian… Is he gay?’
“I’m saying, hey folks – if he is gay, he can be proud of it!”)
‘He no longer needed to conceal himself in the closet, as he would now be dating Brad Pitt, or someone similar. I’m not suggesting Brad is gay, just trying to convey the idea.’
She continued: ‘It’s so silly, and then people perpetuate silly things and it’s boring.’
In 1995, they encountered each other on the set of an Australian TV series called Correlli. Only eleven months afterwards, they got married, and then, in the year 2005, they welcomed two children into their family: a son named Oscar who is now 23 years old, and a daughter named Ava, who turned 19 this year.
The previous year, it was disclosed that they had parted ways following 27 years of being married, which rekindled speculations about Hugh’s sexual orientation.
This week, it has been suggested that actor Hugh Jackman is romantically involved with renowned Broadway star Sutton Foster, age 49. They are reportedly spending a significant amount of their leisure hours in each other’s company.
According to sources, it’s being said that Jackman and Foster are allegedly maintaining a low profile about their relationship as they face ongoing speculation.
According to the source, they often spend their leisure moments together, giving the impression that they are like a typical couple, although they prefer to keep their relationship discreet.
This report comes just a couple days after Foster filed for divorce from her husband, Ocean’s Eleven screenwriter Ted Griffin, after 10 years of marriage.

Recently, a 2022 interview resurfaced, showing Jackman calling Foster a ‘dream.’
