Revealed: The bizarre fake name Harry Styles uses while undercover after he ran the Berlin Marathon under disguise

Harry Styles’s alias for running the Berlin Marathon in disguise has been discovered. He completed the race over the weekend using a fake name.

The singer, 31, joined 50,000 runners for the 26.2 mile race using the pseudonym Sted Sarandos. 

As a lifestyle expert, I’ve noticed an interesting detail! The fake name used for Harry is remarkably close to the name of Ted Sarandos, who’s actually a co-CEO at Netflix. It’s a fun little connection that definitely caught my eye!

Fans believe Harry Styles chose ‘Sted’ as a nickname because it’s a combination of his last and middle names, Edward Styles.

He went incognito as he ran the Berlin Marathon on Sunday in a bid to keep a low profile. 

Harry amazed everyone by completing the run in under three hours, achieving a new personal record.

I was absolutely thrilled to see him cross the finish line! His time was an incredible 2:59:13 – that works out to an amazing 6 minutes and 50 seconds per mile. Seriously impressive!

For reference the race winner Sabastian Sawe won with a world leading time of 2:02:16.

Harry significantly improved his time at the Tokyo Marathon in March, finishing in 3:24:07, which is an average pace of 7 minutes and 47 seconds per mile.

The Grammy-winning artist was spotted in Berlin, trying to blend in with the crowd. He wore sunglasses and a headband to keep his brown hair off his face.

In 2023, Harry amused staff at the five-star Caledonian hotel in Edinburgh with the name he used for his reservation.

The singer performed under the name Oliver Sudden, likely a play on the phrase ‘all of a sudden’.

Oh my gosh, I heard from someone who works at the hotel, and they were saying *everyone* was cracking up when they saw the name! Apparently, it took them a good while to even figure out what it meant, it was just so unexpected and funny! I can’t even imagine being there when they first saw it – I bet it was hilarious!

Harry is incredibly well-known, so he often uses a pseudonym when checking into hotels or airports. Otherwise, he’d be swarmed by fans who track his whereabouts.

He might be deliberately misleading fans. “Oliver Sudden” is also the stage name of a rapper from South London, so it could be a distraction.

Harry Styles has reportedly been entering and exiting the building through a private back entrance, and is getting around town in a Mercedes S-Class.

For his sold-out concerts at Murrayfield stadium during his Love On Tour, he reportedly stayed in a luxurious suite at the Caledonian hotel, costing around £3,000 per night.

One Direction became so popular that they often had to avoid using their hotels’ main entrances, as thousands of fans would gather outside, hoping to catch a glimpse of them.
