Ryan Reynolds, the Canadian actor known for his good looks, wealth, and success, often comes across as a genuinely kind and approachable person.
I’ve always admired Ryan Reynolds, not just for his incredible talent, but for who he is off-screen. He’s a total family man – completely dedicated to Blake Lively and their four kids, and it’s heartwarming to see. Plus, he seems like a genuinely good friend to people like Hugh Jackman, which says a lot about his character.
I’ve always enjoyed his witty remarks and playful personality, but honestly, I was completely shocked to discover the intense anger hidden beneath his calm exterior. It’s something I never would have guessed, and it’s been a real revelation this week to see that side of him.
As the lawsuit between Blake Lively and her “It Ends With Us” co-star, Justin Baldoni, nears a conclusion, more and more details are being revealed quickly.
Actress Lively has filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against Baldoni, alleging the harassment occurred on a movie set in 2023. On Thursday, their legal teams met in New York court, where Baldoni attempted to dismiss the case before it goes to trial, which is scheduled for late spring.
His legal team dismissed her claims as minor issues that aren’t serious enough to be considered legally valid. The judge will decide soon whether to dismiss the case or move forward with a trial scheduled for May 18th.
Oh my god, you will NOT believe what just dropped! Hundreds of texts and messages were leaked this week, and it included conversations between Blake and Taylor Swift – can you even imagine?! But it gets worse… apparently, there were private chats between Blake’s husband’s publicist and Jameela Jamil, and Jameela was being SO nasty about Blake! She actually called her a ‘suicide bomber’ and a ‘villain’! I’m absolutely horrified and trying to understand where this all came from, but seriously, how could anyone say those things?!
However, some of the most surprising details, which haven’t been noticed until now, concern Blake Lively’s husband, Ryan Reynolds.
Many text messages sent by and to Reynolds have been made public, and the sheer number and intensity of those messages are remarkable.
Most texts are short, but Ryan Reynolds once sent a very long, angry message – over 1,000 words – to one of his agents at William Morris Endeavour. He also sent another message exceeding 600 words.
Most of his angry criticism has been directed at Baldoni since last summer. Baldoni not only acted in the film, but also wrote, directed, and produced it.
Emails made public reveal that Baldoni’s wife reportedly considered him silly and foolish, using terms like ‘clown’ and ‘doofus’.
Reynolds takes things much further, using extremely harsh language to describe the person, calling them a ‘predator,’ ‘fraud,’ ‘sociopath,’ and several other deeply insulting terms like ‘bucket of dumb dumb juice.’
Oh my gosh, you will NOT believe this about Ryan Reynolds! It’s like Deadpool became him. Everyone knows he basically wrote a lot of the character’s hilarious, totally inappropriate jokes, but honestly, it’s not just the character! He’s just naturally quick with a cutting remark and isn’t afraid to verbally take people down – it’s amazing! He’s a master of witty insults, and I’m totally here for it!
He describes Baldoni as deeply disturbed and behaving in a bafflingly awful way, suggesting Baldoni’s actions are so illogical they seem almost deliberately harmful and disgusting.
Reynolds admits to sounding upset, but explains that he’s actually feeling drained and exhausted, like someone who needs to be left alone – referencing the saying, ‘Keep away from the dying animal’.
Honestly, as someone who’s seen a lot of relationships, it’s just heartbreaking to watch someone constantly change themselves to fit another person’s needs – especially when it’s been happening for a long time. And then, to finally achieve something amazing, only to be torn down by others? It’s just not okay. I refuse to stand by and watch that happen to my wife. It feels like a cruel game where success is punished, and I can’t support a culture that celebrates tearing people down instead of lifting them up.
Of course, Reynolds is entirely within his rights to protect the reputation of his wife.
She was facing online criticism for how she was promoting the film It Ends With Us, which deals with domestic violence. People felt her suggestion to see it as a lighthearted ‘girls’ night out’ – and her encouragement to wear floral outfits – was insensitive.
I was really shocked to hear how furious Ryan Reynolds got – he apparently went straight to the top people at WME, the agency that also represented Dominic Baldoni. Sadly, it didn’t end well for Baldoni; they dropped him as a client not long after the movie was released, and honestly, I wasn’t surprised given how strongly Reynolds felt.
It says a lot about how involved Reynolds was with the film, despite not having any official role.
Is Ryan Reynolds simply being a supportive husband, or are he and Blake Lively working together to damage the career of her co-star?
Okay, so I’ve been following this whole thing, and it’s wild! Apparently, Ryan Reynolds was really pushing for his wife, Blake Lively, to have the final say on the movie, and even get all the credit if it did well! Can you believe it? He supposedly wanted the director and writer to publicly apologize for any issues on set – like, a full-on apology! It’s making me think back to what happened with Tim Miller, the director of Deadpool 2. Everyone said Reynolds was super controlling over the script back then, and Miller suddenly left the project. It just seems like a pattern, you know? He really wants to be in charge of everything, and it’s starting to feel…intense. I’m obsessed with finding out more!
The legal battle between Lively and Baldoni clearly shows how power dynamics work in Hollywood. If a top client like Reynolds is contacting you repeatedly – as he did last August – you need to pay attention.
Warren Zavala, an agent at WME, cautiously responded to a heated message from one of his biggest clients – someone who’s brought in $350 million in revenue. He started by praising the writing, saying he’d read it multiple times, and suggested a conversation, explaining he didn’t want to escalate the situation with a similar response.
In a message to Patrick Whitesell, a top executive at WME, Reynolds explained that both he and his wife were most upset by the lack of anger from Whitesell regarding the situation. He clarified that this was because he and his wife deeply loved and respected WME and everyone who worked there.
I’ve always been self-sufficient and handled things on my own, but right now, I really need the support of WME. Both Blake and I need to feel like people have our backs and are looking out for us. Whitesell understands, apologizes, and promises to provide that support starting tomorrow.
A representative for WME stated last year that Reynolds and Lively didn’t pressure them to end their working relationship with Baldoni. Reynolds is now demanding a complete and sincere apology to Lively and the entire film crew and cast from both Baldoni and his business partner, Jamie Heath. He even wrote out what he believes a suitable apology would look like.
Reynolds also stated he wants Sony to directly address and apologize for the marketing campaign, using strong language to emphasize his point.
Before he even started explaining what he wanted to say, he made it clear this was urgent. He said it was honestly the most upsetting thing he’d ever encountered in the industry, and that Sony absolutely had to take serious action. He was really emphatic – he just kept repeating that enough was enough.
That’s already quite a situation, but Baldoni isn’t the only one Reynolds is targeting.
Film executives Todd Black and Andrea Ajemian were harshly criticized with offensive language, being labeled as ineffective and lacking in communication skills. The individuals making these comments also pointed to their ages – 65 and 50 – as part of the insult.
Reynolds is fiercely protective of his wife and anyone he feels isn’t supporting her becomes a target. He explained in a text message that she worked incredibly hard on the film, sacrificing sleep and time with her children to ensure it was done right. He strongly believes Blake shouldn’t be asked to fix what he considers a poorly made and predictable movie, emphasizing that her integrity and honesty are her greatest strengths, and that’s all she has to offer.
Reynolds’ carefully maintained reputation as a likeable, approachable person is key to his success as both an actor and in advertising.
Ryan Reynolds’ career took off after he first played Deadpool in the 2009 film X-Men Origins: Wolverine. However, along with his success, stories about a quick temper have emerged. Last September, he seemed to scold actor Eugene Levy on a red carpet, and lip readers claim Reynolds told Levy, ‘Bull, man.’
Levy reportedly told Reynolds to watch his language, saying he didn’t need to be so harsh. Reynolds then responded by saying he shouldn’t be told how to speak to others. Despite the exchange, the two men later hugged on stage.
A year earlier, Martha Stewart surprised people by telling an interviewer that her friend and neighbor, Ryan Reynolds, wasn’t actually that funny in person. She explained, ‘Honestly, he’s very serious in real life, not funny at all.’
After reading his text messages, it’s hard to disagree.
