In today’s announcement, it has been confirmed that Adrian Edmondson from the series “Rain Dogs” and Lesley Sharp known for her role in “Red Eye” will be teaming up with Molony for season two.

In the sequel, scheduled for release in 2026, Edmondson is cast as Nigel, who develops romantic feelings for Charlie Hungerford, portrayed by Zoë Wanamaker. Meanwhile, Sharp takes on the role of Monica in this new installment.

As a fresh recruit in this game, I’m thrilled to welcome Camilla Beeput, Turlough Convery, Jonathan Aris, Charles Dale, Georgina Rich, and Denzel Baidoo to our team! Can’t wait to see them bring their unique characters to life!

Among the familiar faces coming back are Molony, Wanamaker, Robert Gilbert, Chloé Sweetlove, Sasha Behar, and Celine Arden, along with Luke Nunn.

Production on season two is currently in full swing, as Molony and the rest of the cast have returned to Jersey for filming. The show, written by Toby Whithouse, also features contributions from Ashley Sanders, Emilie Robson, and Faebian Averies.

According to the official summary, the second season finds Detective Jim Bergerac trying to rebuild his life, as his mother-in-law, Charlie Hungerford, enters a new romantic relationship.

Jim is timidly going on dates, with Sweetlove’s encouragement, which is a significant leap for him. However, when he encounters Beeput, a traveler in Jersey, there seems to be an instant connection. Could this mark the beginning of a new relationship for Jim?

Yet, before their relationship had a chance to flourish, Jim was drawn into another major investigation. At a wedding celebration on the island, the groom was discovered dead in his hotel room, which cast a shadow of suspicion over the entire gathering.
