Returning Channel 4 hit with multiple Taskmaster stars confirms release date in new trailer
Channel 4 comedy The Change has dropped a new trailer and confirmed its release date.
Under the guidance of actor Mackenzie Crook, who has previously worked on Pirates of the Caribbean and Detectorists, The Change’s second season is set to debut on Tuesday, March 25th.
The series centers around the character Linda, portrayed by Bridget Christie (who also pens and produces the show), who embarks on a new life by moving to a forest settlement as she enters menopause.
Her new life didn’t run as smoothly as anticipated, and she stirred up quite a bit of trouble. In Season 2, Linda isn’t particularly well-liked, while her husband Steve (from “Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again” featuring Omid Djalili) is determined to reconcile with her.
Although Linda experienced being the Eel Queen for just one day, she’s resolved to hold onto that moment. The teaser hints at witchcraft, an uprising among men, and a mind-bending feast prepared from exotic mushrooms as well.
The series also includes Liza Tarbuck, who you might recognize from shows like Taskmaster and Pointless, as well as Jim Howick of Ghosts fame, Tanya Moodie known for Motherland, Paul Whitehouse best known for Gone Fishing, and Susan Lynch, a familiar face from Happy Valley.
On Wednesday evening, a sneak peek event along with a Q&A session for season 2 was held at The BFI in London. During this event, Christie presented the initial two episodes and addressed fans’ questions.
Currently, Channel 4 has introduced a fresh cop drama titled “Get Millie Black“. It’s been compared to “Death in Paradise“, but it offers a greater depth of complexity.
On Tuesday, March 25th, the second season of “The Change” will air on Channel 4. You can catch up on the first season right now by streaming it through Channel 4.
