Returning British crime drama with outlandish characters confirms “exceptional” new cast

Filming for the second season of Guy Ritchie’s “The Gentlemen” has resumed at Netflix, unveiling an expansive ensemble for the upcoming episode.

Characters Theo James, Kaya Scodelario, and Daniel Ings reprise their roles as Eddie, Susie, and Freddy, taking charge of Bobby’s criminal organization, which has shifted from its British base to Italy.

In addition to returning for Season 1, several main cast members have been confirmed, including Ray Winstone portraying imprisoned leader Bobby and Joely Richardson reprising her role as Sabrina Horniman, the Duchess of Halstead.

Among those making their comeback in this production, you’ll find me (the fan) excitedly looking forward to the appearances of Giancarlo Esposito, Vinnie Jones, Jasmine Blackborow, Michael Vu, Harry Goodwins, Ruby Sear, and Pearce Quigley.

With his relocation to Italy, fresh participants are now part of Eddie’s risky scheme, significantly increasing the tension for the next installment.

In the upcoming Season 2, we’ll have some exciting additions to our cast, such as Hugh Bonneville from ‘Downton Abbey’, Benjamin Clementine and Amra Mallassi who were in ‘Dune’ and its sequel, ‘Immaculate’ actress Benedetta Porcaroli, and Sergio Castellitto known for his role in ‘Conclave’.

In the upcoming episodes, we’ll see Maya Jama, known for hosting Love Island, Michele Morrone from Another Simple Favor, and Tyler Conti of Safe joining the cast as well.

In the tagline for season 2, it becomes clear that Eddie and Susie face a challenging predicament, needing to make a difficult choice.

In their pursuit of growing their business, Bobby’s decisions appear more questionable by the day. Now, Eddie and Susie are faced with a tough choice: should they intervene to prevent potential disaster or risk everything and hope for the best. History has shown that unchecked ambition often leads to unfavorable outcomes…

As filming has begun in the UK, creator Ritchie has delved into the bigger scope of the follow-up.

The filmmaker expressed his joy in going back on set for the second season of “The Gentlemen“, as he stated in a press release.

In this chapter, we intentionally broaden our scope, not just geographically but also thematically. As we travel, we move from the landscapes of the English countryside all the way to the Italian lakes.

He went on to say, “Eddie and Susie are facing a more unstable kingdom because mysterious newcomers are pouring in from every direction.

The situation is becoming more intense, the balance of power is delicate, and I’m excited to work alongside this remarkable team yet again.
