In this six-episode narrative, we delve into the lives of Tess, Simone, and Hat – longtime friends – as they reconnect following years apart. As they reminisce about their past, they also confront the emotional scars from their shared childhood experiences.
Initially streaming on Paramount+ in September 2023, the show was taken off the platform after only five months. However, its fortunes have changed recently as it’s now available on ITVX following its addition over the weekend.

On the other hand, The Financial Times commented that the series delivers a powerful impact.
Whittaker, known for roles in shows like “Doctor Who” and “Broadchurch,” discussed her character with Digital Spy. She found Tess’s character particularly intriguing due to a key trait: instead of expressing her pain openly like many characters she plays, Tess internalizes it, making it the most challenging aspect for her to portray.
