Resonance Solstice Team Composition Guide and Tips

As a Resonance Solstice player, I’ve learned that building a strong team isn’t just about having the shiniest, highest-rarity heroes. It’s really about how well they work together. You need to think about how each hero’s abilities complement each other, make sure you have a good mix of roles, and really understand how everything ties into your leader’s skill. That synergy is key!

This game focuses on strategic team building rather than just having powerful characters. A carefully planned team of SR-level characters can often beat a team full of stronger SSR characters if they work well together. This guide will teach you the basics of building a strong team in Resonance Solstice, explaining each role and providing example teams for different players and stages of the game.

Whether you’re new to the game and learning the heroes, or a seasoned player perfecting your team strategies, this guide will help you create consistently strong teams for all types of gameplay. How team roles work in Resonance Solstice

In Resonance Solstice, a strong team relies on four key roles: Damage Dealers (DPS), Tanks, Healers, and Support. Each role is important for creating a balance between attacking, defending, and keeping the team alive. Leaving out any one of these roles often results in a team that doesn’t perform well.

Attacker (DPS)

Your Damage Per Second (DPS) characters are your team’s main source of damage and should be the focus of your strategy. They excel at either quickly dealing a lot of damage (burst) or consistently dealing damage over time (sustained), depending on their abilities. Because DPS characters are usually vulnerable, they need protection from your tanks and support characters. To get the most out of them, carefully time their powerful abilities and helpful buffs.

Tank

The Tank is your team’s protector, with the vital job of keeping your more vulnerable teammates safe. When enemies attack strongly or bosses use powerful area attacks, the Tank is what holds everything together. Remember, a great Tank doesn’t just take damage – they also buy time for healers to help allies and for damage-dealers to finish off enemies.

Healer

Healers are essential for keeping your team alive during tough, extended fights. They focus on restoring health, removing harmful effects, and often provide helpful bonuses. While a single error can be devastating without a healer, having one greatly increases your team’s ability to bounce back and maintain a strong pace.

Support

Support characters are the glue that holds your team together. They improve your team’s performance by boosting stats, weakening enemies, helping you draw cards, or providing other useful abilities. While they might not always be the biggest damage dealers, Supports give you a tactical advantage and ensure your team operates at its best.

Examples of Team Composition in Resonance Solstice

1. Balanced All-Rounder Team

  • Leader: Nayuta
  • Team: Joshua (Tank), Suen (Healer), Maruha (DPS), Ilona ( DPS)

This team is the perfect example of a well-rounded strategy. It’s adaptable, dependable, and effective with almost any type of content in Resonance Solstice. The leader skill of Nayuta keeps the cards rotating, which creates a fluid gameplay experience and reliably triggers resonance effects.

Joshua excels at protecting the team with his durable shields, while Suen focuses on healing and removing harmful effects during longer battles. For attacking, Maruha builds up powerful combos, and Ilona delivers massive damage at crucial times.

2. Aggressive Burst Team

  • Leader: Ilona
  • Team: Maruha (Offense), Rina Von (Buffer), Shizuru (Support), Tennie (Tank)

If you want to quickly defeat enemies with a lot of damage, this team setup is perfect. Ilona leads the charge and deals most of the damage, increasing the team’s overall power with fast, repeated attacks. Rina Von further boosts this power, while Shizuru’s speed increases how often cards can be played and skills used. Tennie keeps everyone safe by taking damage and freezing opponents at critical times.

3. Defensive Sustain Team

  • Leader: Joshua
  • Team: Suen (Healer), Wensheng (DPS), Ilona (Sub Carry), Fran (Support)

Okay, so I’ve been running this team comp and it’s surprisingly solid. Instead of just going all-in on damage, we focus on not dying. Joshua is our tank, soaking up damage with shields and reductions, and Suen keeps everyone topped off with constant healing. Wensheng and Ilona handle the damage, but they’re really good at keeping a steady stream of attacks going without running out of steam. Fran adds a little extra by weakening enemies and throwing out small heals when we need them. It’s not the fastest team, but once we get going, it’s seriously tough to take down.

Final Thoughts

I’m really getting into Resonance Solstice, and I’ve learned that just collecting the strongest heroes (SSRs) isn’t enough to win. It’s all about how well they work together as a team. A great team isn’t about having rare characters, it’s about how their abilities complement each other! So you really need to understand how the game works and keep trying out different combinations to find what clicks.
