Resident Evil Survival Unit Team Composition Guide and Tips

Resident Evil Survival Unit is an action-horror game developed by Aniplex Inc. and JOYCITY Corp. It features a straightforward story and lets you build and upgrade a base. Because the game focuses on collecting and leveling up heroes, building a strong team is key to success. This guide offers tips and suggestions to help you choose the best team members.

Overview of the hero class and role system in Resident Evil Survival Unit

With only 17 heroes to choose from, the game doesn’t offer a huge roster. But each hero is unique, offering different playstyles, roles, and special abilities. The main roles available are:

  • Attacker: They dominate the battles, whether it is against other players from the worldwide server or against the zombies running after your den. The game has six attackers.
  • Defender: They will defend your base against the horde of enemies, and also in times of fights against other players. The defenders are basically the shield for your team.
  • Ranger: Lead the ranger squad into battle. Increases the stats of ranger troops in the deployed squad.

Besides, the Heroes have a secondary type of role. They are:

  • Joining Rally
  • Gather
  • Development
  • Defense

Legendary characters possess a special ability called Combat Specialist. This ability boosts the stats of all your deployed squads.

Best team builds for Resident Evil Survival Unit

As a player, I’ve found you can really build teams that fit how you like to play. It’s cool that you can adjust your strategy as you unlock more characters. And it’s not just about the super powerful heroes – you’ll get a lot of other heroes too, which adds to the fun and lets you experiment with different team comps.

Beginner Squad

When you’re just starting out, it’s best to build a well-rounded team that can win your first few games and quickly unlock everything you need. Here’s a squad I recommend:

  • Jill Valentine
  • Carlos Oliveira
  • Claire Redfield

Okay, so I’m building a team that’s well-rounded – good classes, skills, and everyone needs to be at a decent level. That should be enough to get me through the main story at the beginning. But if I really want to level up quickly and tackle the harder stuff, I’ll need to start upgrading things. I’m planning to focus on that a bit later, though.

Attack-only Squad

If you’re building a team focused on strong offense, I suggest including one dedicated defender – even though threats can come from any direction. The rest of your team should consist of heroes who excel at attacking and providing support, such as Ada Wong and Claire Redfield. Here’s a recommended team composition:

  • Ada Wong
  • Claire Redfield
  • Leon S. Kennedy

This team offers a good balance of attack power and defense. However, to really excel, you’ll need to develop your heroes’ abilities. Without leveling them up and mastering their skills, this team won’t be very effective.

Defense Squad

A balanced team needs both defensive and offensive players, and you’ll definitely need someone to play the attacker role. Leon S. Kennedy is a great all-around choice and works well in this kind of setup. Here’s a possible team composition:

  • Leon S. Kennedy
  • Carlos Oliveira
  • Ada Wong

This squad will get you through the enemy waves.

Resident Evil Survival Unit Team Composition Tips

  • Upgrade the abilities of your role-based players or heroes from the barracks. It will grant them more power and strengthen the ability of your squad.
  • The Shooting Range is another place where you can increase the skills of your hero by training them. Use the section often if you can because it doesn’t matter the name of a hero, rather the skills when it comes to life and death situations.
  • After your troops get wounded in a battle to save your place, repay them for their debts by healing them in the Hospital. They will come back stronger.
  • Always remember that no squad is perfect unless you make yourself one. So, keep pushing the upgrades anytime you can so that the heroes are on a continuous level-up.

Ultimately, the game prevents endless, repetitive play unless you’re willing to spend some money. It’s your choice, of course!
