Resident Evil 6 Could Be Making the Jump to Xbox Series X|S
It appears that Resident Evil 6 might be getting an updated version for Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5, based on a recent rating spotted on the ESRB (Entertainment Software Rating Board) website.
Indeed, the rating for Resident Evil 6 on Xbox Series indicates an ‘M for Mature’ classification, hinting that the game is likely to be released on PlayStation 5 as well. Given its popularity, it seems only natural that it would grace a third console generation. Resident Evil 6 first made its debut in 2012 on both Xbox 360 and PS3. Later, in 2016, the game was ported to Xbox One and PS4.
Similar to the upcoming versions for Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5, we anticipate that Resident Evil 6 will come with enhanced graphics, all previously released DLC, improved loading times, and potentially more. There’s also speculation that Resident Evil 5 might receive a similar upgrade as well.
It appears that Capcom hasn’t made an official announcement about the release of Resident Evil 6 on Xbox Series X|S and PS5 yet, but if the ESRB rating is accurate, we might hear about it soon.
