Resident Alien canceled before Season 5, Chris Sheridan says he knew
The television series “Resident Alien” has been announced to end with its Season 4 finale on August 8, 2025. In a recent conversation with TV Insider, actor Alan Tudyk (Sheridan) disclosed that he and his team had anticipated this fourth season would probably be the final installment of the show when they started planning it. He stated, “I knew going into it that this was likely our last season.” Subsequently, he shared insights about how this knowledge influenced the development of the series’ concluding episodes.
Creatively speaking, that was thrilling since I realized we could tie up loose ends on some storylines and move towards a conclusion,” Sheridan stated. “I’m incredibly proud of how well Season 4 turned out, and I’m especially pleased with how we ended, with a finale that might just be my favorite episode from the entire series,” he continued.
The television show titled “Resident Alien” is based on the comic book of the same name by Peter Hogan and Steve Parkhouse. In this series, Alan Tudyk plays Harry Vanderspeigle, an alien who has landed in the small town of Patience, Colorado as part of a mission to eliminate humans. However, he develops relationships with locals and begins to question his own beliefs about humanity. The characters also include Sara Tomko portraying Asta, Corey Reynolds as Sheriff Mike, and Levi Fiehler playing Ben.
The previous three seasons and new episodes of Resident Alien are streaming on Peacock.
