Fans of the anime Rent-a-Girlfriend finally have a timeframe for the release of Season 5! After a long wait, it’s been confirmed that the new season is coming soon, and more details about it have just been revealed.

The fifth season of Rent-a-Girlfriend is set to premiere in April 2026, as announced on the anime’s website and social media. A new promotional image was also released with the announcement.

The new promotional image shows Chizuru Ichinose and Mami Nanami confronting each other, hinting at increasing conflict between them. The poster’s tagline, “Now, the fateful moment has arrived,” suggests the next season will be filled with dramatic events.

Season 5 continues the story arc set in Hawaii and is being created by TMS Entertainment. Kazuomi Koga is directing again, with Mitsutaka Hirota handling the overall story structure. The anime is based on the manga by Reiji Miyajima, which has been published in Weekly Shonen Magazine since 2017 and is still a popular series. Kodansha USA publishes the English version of the manga.

Rent-a-Girlfriend follows Kazuya Kinoshita, a college student who, after a breakup, decides to rent a girlfriend. He chooses Chizuru Mizuhara, who seems cool and professional, expecting a straightforward, no-strings-attached relationship. But as Kazuya and Chizuru keep crossing paths, things get more complicated, leading to confusion, emotional turmoil, and changing feelings between them.
