Renee Zellweger passionately kisses boyfriend Ant Anstead at his soccer game instead of attending Emmys

Renee Zellweger swapped the excitement of the Emmy Awards on Sunday for a more relaxed activity.

Renée Zellweger’s film, *Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy*, was up for the Outstanding Television Movie award, but *Rebel Ridge*, featuring Aaron Pierre, Don Johnson, and AnnaSophia Robb, won instead.

Despite currently living apart because of Ant Anstead’s financial difficulties, 56-year-old actress Renee Zellweger was there to support her 46-year-old boyfriend at his soccer game in Orange County, California.

The Academy Award-winning actress dressed casually for the game, wearing a simple white long-sleeved shirt and khaki green hiking pants.

She had long, straight blonde hair and wore a denim cap that said ‘London’ to shield her pale skin from the sun.

While Anstead was playing, the Bridget Jones star entertained his six-year-old son, Hudson, by playing ball with him.

Hudson has been practicing and playing soccer with his team, and he demonstrated his abilities in a game against Zellweger, who played well despite the challenge.

Anstead shares the tyke with ex-wife Christina Haack, 42.  

The kindergarten student looked adorable in a purple T-shirt, denim shorts and sneakers. 

Anstead looked sharp as he walked onto the field, wearing a red, white, and black jersey paired with black shorts.

He ran back and forth across the field, working up a sweat while wearing red and white knee-high socks and black and white sneakers.

The game seemed really competitive. Renee Zellweger helped treat a scrape on the arm of a “For the Love of Cars” star after he fell while playing.

Some scrapes on his knees were also noticeable.  

After the performance, the actress was spotted enjoying the game from the spectator area. She and Anstead were seen sitting together on a bench during the break.

Anstead played semi-professional football in the UK and continued playing for a similar soccer team in the US, which was associated with Southampton FC.

Renée Zellweger kissed her boyfriend on the lips to congratulate him after his game.

After that, Anstead removed his soaking wet shirt, displaying his flat abs.

Zellweger can currently be seen in Only Murders in the Building, currently streaming on Hulu. 

She plays the role of Camilla White, a quirky and wealthy woman, in the crime comedy series alongside Selena Gomez, Steve Martin, and Martin Short.

In an interview with Hello!,  Anstead opened up about his love for the Judy star. 

He shared that one of the things he loves about Ren is her genuine passion for and involvement with cars.

The pair met when Zellweger was a guest on Anstead’s previous show, Celebrity IOU Joyride. 

‘It’s really cool that we met on a car show. She welded – I mean, how cool is that?’ he asked.

He’s currently the host of season two of Born Mechanic, a show where he fixes up and sells classic cars. He’s doing this to fund the renovation of a 500-year-old farmhouse for his parents.

He revealed the Cold Mountain actress has had a hand in that. 

He praised the Chicago designer, saying she’s had a significant impact and is exceptionally talented at design. He added that he’s happy to get her input, as she clearly has more expertise in home design than he does.

‘I am constantly being advised, because she’s the greatest human I’ve ever met,’ he said.
