As a die-hard fan of Bridget Jones since her first movie debuted, I’ve eagerly anticipated every twist and turn in her tumultuous love life. The news that Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy is coming to cinemas on Valentine’s Day next year has me positively giddy with excitement!
In a heartbeat, finding myself amidst the bustling Borough Market on a chilly Friday, I couldn’t help but be captivated by the enchanting dance between Renée Zellweger and Leo Woodall, as they poured their souls into the final scenes of the new Bridget Jones movie. Their chemistry was palpable, a magnetic force that left me spellbound, feeling like an unseen spectator in their beautiful love story unfolding before my very eyes.
Currently, the actress, age 55, known for portraying the main character in the last three movies, is filming the fourth installment titled “Mad About The Boy” right here in London.
In the forthcoming movie, Bridget gets involved in a brief romance with a handsome younger man called Rockstar, portrayed by actor Leo, aged 27, following their connection on social platforms.
It seemed like there was romantic tension simmering between the characters, since they were walking together during a late-night stroll with evident enthusiasm.
The duo was spotted strolling by Bridget’s well-known apartment over The Globe Tavern, a place where the character resided during the initial movies.
Outside, the street was notoriously where the memorable brawl took place between Mark Darcy and Daniel Cleaver in the initial movie, both attempting to win Bridget’s heart.
Instead, it was previously disclosed that Bridget is planning to relinquish her well-known bachelor residence to move into a family house in tranquil Hampstead, North London – a location that has frequently served as a filming site over the past few months.
During the filming, Renee was overjoyed and couldn’t help but laugh heartily, all while exchanging smiles with a radiant Leo.

The Academy Award-winning actress tied back her hair in a straightforward ponytail – a style that complemented her understated makeup look during filming of the romantic evening sequence.
Leo had a striking appearance, dressed casually in a simple yellow T-shirt, dark jeans, and a collarless green shirt worn on top.
The fourth part of the highly praised series is adapted from a novel with the same title, penned by Helen Fielding.
The story then unfolds with Bridget navigating her journey through single parenthood, a role she assumes after the unfortunate demise of her spouse, Mark (previously portrayed by Colin Firth), leaves her on her own.
Besides her romance with the Rockstar character, the charming diarist will additionally delve into a potential romantic interest with Mr. Walker, portrayed by Chiwetel Ejiofor, and furthermore rekindle her up-and-down relationship with Daniel, played by Hugh Grant.
Despite Mark’s demise, it has been unveiled by The Mail on Sunday that Colin will nonetheless feature in the upcoming movie.
Following Mark’s marriage to Bridget, he tragically passes away overseas while pursuing his career as a human rights attorney, thus leaving her a widow.
Fans worried that since Colin’s name wasn’t on the cast roster for the fourth movie, it might mean that his character wouldn’t show up in the film at all.
Yet, recently obtained images captured on set last month show Renee affectionately engaging with the actor who starred in The King’s Speech.
As a die-hard enthusiast, I couldn’t contain my excitement when I found out about Colin’s comeback being planned as a massive shocker! The movie bigwigs were in a frenzy, pulling all the stops to maintain secrecy around this revelation.
A source said: ‘Colin was always going to appear in the movie but it was supposed to be a secret.’
In the 2016 film Bridget Jones’s Baby, Bridget attends a memorial for her former love interest Daniel, whom it was thought had perished in a plane crash, only to discover that he was actually still alive later on.
Fans might need to wait and see if Mark’s luck holds up or if his appearance is just part of a dream-like scene.
Last week, it was disclosed by the film production company, Working Title, that the movie “Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy” is scheduled to be released in cinemas on Valentine’s Day.
