Remember Monday star reveals she lost wedding ring at Eurovision: “I’m gonna have a breakdown”
A participant from the United Kingdom’s Eurovision act, Remember Monday, has shared that she misplaced her wedding and engagement rings while in Basel.
After their show at this year’s competition, the country-pop threesome shared on Instagram yesterday that Holly-Anne Hull had misplaced her rings.
In the video, Hull and her musical companions, Lauren Byrne and Charlotte Steele, could be seen seated on an aircraft, appearing to depart from Switzerland, where this year’s contest took place.

In a playful twist on their song “What a Nightmare Ensued”, the group humorously described their current state. They mentioned they were still sporting “yesterday’s styling product” and felt discomfort in their knees, with Hull expressing concerns about losing his wedding ring and fearing a potential emotional breakdown as a result.
On air at Capital FM’s morning program post my return to the UK, I shared an update about a fortunate incident – I’ve miraculously found my wedding band! However, my engagement ring, unfortunately, remains missing.
Indeed, that’s my engagement ring you see. I located my wedding ring recently, but unfortunately, my engagement ring has disappeared,” she shared with Chris Stark on Monday.
“I honestly don’t know where it is. I am so upset about it.”
In March, it was uncovered that “Remember Monday” was the United Kingdom’s selection for this year’s Eurovision Song Contest. However, it ultimately finished in the 19th position with a grand total of 88 points, all awarded by the jury votes.
In an amusing remark on Instagram Stories, Hull playfully expressed that getting the prestigious 12 points from Topo Gigio, the Italian anthropomorphic mouse puppet and this year’s Italian spokes-rodent, was the most memorable moment of the event for her.
Similarly to Olly Alexander in last year’s contest, this year’s UK representative failed to win over the audience, earning no points in the public vote – a feat that only Switzerland, the host nation of the competition, has achieved before.
As the much-anticipated Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) week approaches, let’s revisit our discussion from last Monday about the “UK Eurovision jinx.” The UK team clarified that they are disregarding the betting odds and focusing on their performance, aiming to avoid any influence.
In March, Hull stated to Metro, “We’re not engaged in it for the rewards,” instead, “We’re participating to rewatch that video later and feel incredibly proud of our accomplishments at that specific moment.
Steele pointed out that if you look back at Eurovision history, there have been many winners who were considered unlikely, even ranking 20th in the odds set by bookmakers. He added, tongue-in-cheek, “So listen up, bookies – it doesn’t mean a thing!
