Instead of finding a lackluster accessory slot item and unimpressive t-shirt within the Atelier Yumia DLC for Tekken 8, the upcoming DLC for Atelier Yumia on July 23 promises to be infinitely superior. The long-awaited collaboration between the two games was first announced back in March 2025.

Take a look at our guide detailing how to swap costumes in Atelier Yumia.

New Moves & Rage Art Tribute

In the spirit of the Tekken Series partnership pack, Yumia acquires the ability to utilize unique Special Moves that draw inspiration from Reina. The most striking moment in the trailer undoubtedly showcases Yumia executing Reina’s Rage Art – a powerful move that Tekken characters can unleash when their health is low.

In the game Tekken, Reina’s Rage Art involves her delivering a powerful stomp onto her defeated opponents, followed by a stern warning: “Learn Your Limits.” Subsequently, she unleashes all her might, pounding them forcefully into the ground.

Instead of the usual ending move for Reina’s finishing move, Yumia discharges a laser beam from her forehead – an acknowledgment reminiscent of Devil Jin, honoring him rather than Reina, yet still a fantastic homage.

Who is Reina in Tekken?

For individuals new to Tekken 8, let me introduce you to one of the freshly introduced characters – Reina. As the narrative unfolds in the game, it’s revealed that she is Heihachi’s hidden biological daughter, a crucial figure in the Tekken franchise and the patriarch of the Mishima family, whose saga forms the core of the Tekken series.

The powerful and fierce approach of Reina, along with her distinctive appearance, immediately captured the hearts of Tekken enthusiasts.

Eighteen months post-launch, Reina continues to be among the frequently used characters, which makes her an ideal choice for Atelier Yumia’s DLC, considering her striking resemblance to Yumia.

This is crossover DLC done right – even if we had to wait four months to see the results.
