As a die-hard fan of gripping crime dramas and having binge-watched countless episodes featuring Jensen Ackles, I can’t help but feel my anticipation building for Tracker season 2, episode 2. The Shaw family mysteries have always been a captivating thread in the series, and it seems we are about to unravel more secrets with Colter and Russell back on the case.

In the second episode of season 2, Colter Shaw embarks on a journey to find his absent father, inevitably finding himself in a similar predicament.

It was a given that Jensen Ackles would reprise his role as Russell Shaw at some point, and we didn’t require an official announcement to confirm this. The cliffhanger ending of the previous episode suggested his return was inevitable, and it appears he is coming back for the sake of his brother.

Colter embarks on a journey to find his long-lost father, suspecting that he might have gone into hiding due to paranoia about being pursued by the authorities. This situation hits close to home for Colter, as his family lineage has a history of men believing they were under government scrutiny.

Colter learned his survival instincts because of their dad. Now he uses them to help people, but it looks like he’s going to go off the grid.

When Reenie starts to feel anxious, she reaches out to someone she trusts to provide assistance. It’s essential that Russell hurries into town for her, and fortunately, he always comes through for his sibling. Keep an eye out for several references to classic Supernatural episodes in this installment. Given their later roles on the show, it wouldn’t be surprising if there are also some Smallville nods along the way, despite the fact that they didn’t appear together during their tenure on the series.

This will hopefully help us dig deeper into the Shaw family mystery. Why did their mother tell Colter to stay away from Russell? What secret is Russell hiding? Will they end up working together to get to the bottom of what really happened to their dad all those years ago?
