Red One is now available to watch on Prime Video
As someone who’s spent countless holiday seasons huddled around the TV, eagerly awaiting the magic of Christmas flicks, I must say that Red One has certainly piqued my interest. The prospect of JK Simmons as a muscular Santa Claus and Kiernan Shipka as an Icelandic winter witch, Grýla, is enough to make any festive film enthusiast’s heart skip a beat!
Prepare to enrich your holiday viewing collection! The high-octane Christmas movie titled “Red One” can now be enjoyed streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
The film boasts an impressive ensemble of actors, such as JK Simmons portraying a muscular Santa Claus and Kiernan Shipka taking on the role of Icelandic winter witch Grýla. The plot revolves around the dramatic event of Santa being abducted just before Christmas.
In this new role, Dwayne Johnson portrays Callum Drift, a top-tier security chief who finds himself paired with Chris Evans’ character, the unconventional hacker and self-proclaimed non-believer in Santa Claus, named Jack O’Malley. Their mission? To locate the jolly old fellow and ensure the continuation of Christmas magic.
If it seems appealing to you, you can now stream “Red One” without any additional charges, as it’s accessible on Amazon Prime Video for all its subscribers.
If you don’t currently have a Prime Video subscription, you can still watch the movie “Red One” without charge by signing up for Amazon Prime’s 30-day free trial, which is available to both new and eligible returning subscribers.

Written by the screenwriter and producer of “Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw,” Chris Morgan, and directed by Jake Kasdan of “Jumanji” fame, “Red One” combines popular holiday themes in an intricate mystery that falls short in execution.
The group puts forth their utmost effort with the resources at hand, resulting in a film that offers a pleasant, background-TV-like atmosphere, but lacks the distinctiveness and uniqueness to make it particularly remarkable or innovative.
In the Digital Spy‘s review, Red One is deemed suitable for watching after Christmas dinner, but it’s alright if you momentarily fall asleep during viewing.
If ‘Red One’ appears on Prime Video in time for Christmas, it might be more suitable to watch after your Christmas dinner, especially when you’re feeling a bit drowsy and just need something to pass the time before ‘Doctor Who’ and ‘Gavin & Stacey’,” the review suggests.
Red One is available to watch now on Prime Video.
