Red Mist
On her farm in Yorkshire, Amanda Owens acknowledged that there was a point when she became overwhelmed by anger due to her ex-husband’s recent behavior, describing it as a temporary loss of control and clarity, similar to seeing through a red mist.
50-year-old Shepherdess and her 69-year-old former spouse, Clive, parted ways in June 2022, concluding a 22-year marriage. Despite the separation, they maintain a close relationship for the sake of co-parenting and continue to share screen time on their TV shows.
In a recent conversation, Amanda opened up about collaborating with her ex-spouse for their upcoming project, sharing an instance where she became so angry that she felt on the verge of tears.
In general, during their television series Our Farm Next Door: Amanda, Clive and Kids, the ex-spouses cooperate effectively as they work together to restore an old farmhouse.
Yet, reminiscing about the moment they almost clashed during filming, she shared with The Mirror: ‘Clive attempts to instruct me on how to navigate the internet. That was undeniably heart-wrenching in a frustrating manner, as it was a clear example of mansplaining. I could feel the tears welling up – followed by anger!’
In the heart of our bustling household teeming with ten little bundles of joy and a menagerie of creatures, I can’t help but share snippets of the whirlwind that is our day-to-day existence with the world.

She mentioned: “Life on a farm is a mix of ups and downs, it’s not like the idyllic Walton family! You have the picturesque views, the kids, the animals… it’s a blend of so many diverse aspects. It’s almost like one of those home renovation projects, but I’m no Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen!
She then quipped their home life is like a cross between ‘Countryfile and The Osbournes’.
When Amanda spoke candidly about the challenges of rural living, from a goat consuming her ATV key, among other things, she pointed out that these hardships are what make their experiences ‘sympathetic’ or ‘easily understood’.
She noted: “The reason it feels real is because things don’t always run smoothly. Any kind of plan tends to crumble. Regardless of how much you accomplish, the to-do list just keeps growing. Every situation seems to become more complex.
In June 2022, Amanda and Clive announced their tough choice to part ways, however, they expressed their intention to jointly manage the farm and share parental responsibilities.
On the popular reality TV series “Our Yorkshire Farm,” Amanda and Clive gained notoriety as they shared glimpses into their unique lives in one of England’s most secluded regions.
Fans of the show were saddened by news of their separation, as it was reported that the Owens had been living separately for several months prior to the announcement, according to their close friends.
Since late 2021, whispers about marital issues have been going around, yet the couple has consistently refuted these claims.

The long-awaited confirmation that Amanda and Clive Owen will reappear on screens has finally arrived, much to the relief of their eager fans who have been anxiously waiting for months.
Last year marked the debut of Our Farm Next Door: The Owens – a series chronicling the everyday life of Amanda, Clive, and their children, situated in the picturesque Yorkshire Dales.
The series concluded with an emotional farewell in November, however, a subsequent season was announced by the production company recently, bringing great joy to the audience, though no specific air date has been set yet.
In a few days’ time, we’ll finally get to see the next part of our cherished series being unveiled.
Mark your calendars for April 29th at 9pm! As a lifestyle enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that the next chapter of Our Farm Next Door: Amanda, Clive and Kids will premiere on Channel 4. Don’t miss out on this captivating journey as they continue their agricultural adventures!
A clip released by Wise Owl Films reveals a sneak peak at the new instalment.

The production team shared on Instagram: ‘The effort doesn’t stop yet, but there are loads of chuckles ahead, warm sunny afternoons, a winter scene, sheep wearing coats, and the comeback of Tony the Pony as we transition from Summer to Spring in the upcoming series of Our Farm Next Door: Amanda, Clive & Kids – arriving VERY soon. Here’s a sneak peek!’
Prepare yourself for a trip back to Ravenseat, home of Anty John and enchanting Swaledale scenery, as the new season of Our Farm Next Door: Amanda, Clive, and Kids premieres on More4. You can catch it starting Tuesday, April 29th at 9pm, both on TV and streaming platforms.
The video shows all of the family get stuck into the renovation and lending a hand on the farm.
Amanda says, ‘We have made great strides but we’re a long way from finishing yet.’
She notes: ‘My hope for these kids is that they can reflect back and proudly declare, “We accomplished that.”‘
