Red Hulk breaks out in new Captain America: Brave New World trailer

As a seasoned gamer and a die-hard Marvel fan with over two decades of comic book history under my belt, I can confidently say that the new trailer for Captain America: Brave New World has me genuinely excited! The blend of espionage thriller elements reminiscent of 24 and the action-packed sequences we’ve come to expect from Marvel movies is a winning combination.

As a die-hard fan, I was thrilled to be among the first at Brazil’s inaugural D23 event, where Marvel Studios unveiled an exciting new trailer for “Captain America: Brave New World.” This is no ordinary Captain America movie – it marks the debut of Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson, taking up the iconic shield. The buzz surrounding this film is palpable, and I can hardly wait until its release!

Similar to how the Captain America films have previously delved into spy-thriller elements, Brave New World immerses us even deeper into such suspenseful, espionage-like scenarios. In truth, this could be the most thrilling espionage vibe we’ve experienced from a Captain America film so far.

After diving into Disney+’s 2021 series “The Falcon and The Winter Soldier,” I’ve stepped up to shoulder the iconic Captain America shield myself this time around. But it’s not all heroics as I, Anthony Mackie, find myself smack-dab in the heart of a global crisis, juggling responsibility and duty while navigating through its complexities.

As I watched the trailer, it seemed like they were diving deep into the spy-thriller vibes of its past installments. The quick cuts and flashing visuals reminded me of scenes straight out of a tense episode of 24, where Sam Wilson is on a mission to expose the brains behind some sinister global scheme, one that involves President Thaddeus Ross, played by none other than Harrison Ford.

It seems that earlier previews for Captain America: Brave New World have inadvertently given away the major plot twist – Thaddeus Ross transforming into Red Hulk. Despite some intrigue hinted at throughout the trailer, it’s important to remember this is a Marvel film, so there will be ample action scenes promised too.

Captain America: Brave New World hits the big screen on February 14, 2025. As Marvel Studios’ initial significant release of the year and its first post-Deadpool & Wolverine‘s blockbuster success – a run that smashed box office records – Sam Wilson has some substantial footsteps to follow. The film appears enticing, but will it be enough to lure Marvel enthusiasts to cinemas?
