Red carpet confession: Nova star Tim Blackwell, 42, breaks his silence on relationship with younger girlfriend Lizzie Baxter, 28, at the ARIA Awards

Radio personality Tim Blackwell has recently shared more details about his girlfriend, a year after they first went public with their relationship.

The host of the ARIA Awards, returning for his second year, arrived at the Sydney ceremony with a stunning companion, Lizzie Baxter, sparking plenty of attention.

Forty-two-year-old radio host Tim showed off his fit body by opening his black suit jacket to reveal silver necklaces against his chest.

Lizzie, his 28-year-old girlfriend, looked stunning in a fitted, sheer black lace dress. Her blonde hair was styled loosely over her shoulders.

I have to say, seeing Tim at the event, he seemed genuinely thrilled! He shared with me that things are going wonderfully with Lizzie – they’re both incredibly happy, and it’s been that way ever since they first went public as a couple at last year’s ceremony. It’s lovely to see!

He playfully said Lizzie was required to stay five meters away from him, and she cheerfully waved in response.

When a reporter asked if she was planning a wedding, the celebrity playfully responded, ‘Let’s focus on the ARIAs right now!’

Last month marked two years since Tim and Lizzie became a couple, and Tim shared a loving post about Lizzie on Instagram to celebrate.

He posted a picture of himself with his girlfriend, who is 15 years his junior and works as a producer on the Nova radio show, Fitzy & Wippa, at a country-themed party.

‘Two years of hoedowns with my girl,’ he wrote.

At the 2024 ARIA Awards, Tim told Daily Mail that he and Lizzie are officially dating, referring to her as his ‘date’ for the event.

The pair looked smitten as they embraced and posed for photos at the media wall.

People think they began dating after his divorce from Monique was finalized in 2023.

I was totally scrolling through social media when I saw Tim announce he was hosting the awards show! Then Lizzie, being so cheeky, actually asked him if she could go with him as his date! It was such a cute and flirty moment, I couldn’t help but smile.

‘Do you need a date by any chance? You’re hot,’ she wrote.

Blackwell said she’d be busy working, questioning if taking on something else would be unprofessional. She then conceded, ‘I’ll think about it…’

‘Hasn’t stopped you in the past,’ Lizzie joked back.

According to a source, Lizzie and her partner had been playfully interacting online for several months. Photos on Lizzie’s Instagram previously suggested they were a couple, but she has since made her account private.

Someone else working in the industry confirmed that the relationship is common knowledge. It’s not hidden at all, they said.
