Rebel Wilson shows off her figure in a sports bra and shorts – as she admits taking GLP-1s ‘from time to time’

Rebel Wilson has admitted to occasionally using weight loss injections to help her keep the weight off after losing over 36 kilograms (80 pounds) in 2020.

The 46-year-old actress revealed this on Instagram Wednesday, sharing a photo of herself in a black sports bra and shorts.

She was relaxing on a boat dock, enjoying the sunshine while wearing a cap and sunglasses to shield her face.

Rebel Wilson shared a photo with a caption expressing that while she doesn’t feel pressure to achieve a specific body type, she’s incredibly thankful for everything her body has allowed her to experience.

The Pitch Perfect actress then posted a short video showing her enjoying the harbor view and the boats sailing by.

I’m really focused on staying active these days. I make sure to get my steps in every day, and I love doing Pilates – I try to fit in a class once or twice a week. Plus, whenever I have the time, I incorporate some strength training into my routine.

I try to eat healthily, but I definitely have a sweet tooth! Sometimes I need a little boost from GLP-1 medications to stay on track.

I was so happy to see Rebel post another adorable photo of herself with her sweet daughter, Royce Lillian! It’s amazing how quickly Royce is growing. As many of you know, Royce came into their lives through surrogacy, and Rebel shares her with her wife, Ramona Agruma, who is expecting their second child soon! It’s such a beautiful thing to witness.

As a working mom, you do your best to manage everything! Rebel Wilson acknowledged everyone striving for a healthy lifestyle while juggling a lot on their plate.

The actress revealed she once used Ozempic, a medication for type 2 diabetes, to aid in weight loss, but emphasized she only started using it after initially trying to lose weight through her own efforts.

In 2020, the Australian actress lost 36 kilograms (80 pounds) as part of a personal health journey, and she clarified that she didn’t use any weight loss drugs to achieve this.

In a 2024 interview with The Diary Of A CEO podcast, she revealed she briefly tried using weight loss medication after having her daughter in 2022 to help her keep the weight off.

She said she wished she’d found out about it back in 2020, and if she had, she definitely would have given it a try.

I really started thinking about it after losing 35 kilograms. I realized I couldn’t keep up that intense workout routine, and I was afraid of regaining the weight.

Should celebrities openly promote using weight loss drugs to maintain their image?

What’s your view?

Rebel mentioned she had previously stopped using the semaglutide injection, but was open to trying it again to manage her sweet cravings and emotional eating.

Oh my gosh, she admitted she’s gained ten kilos since the baby! It’s totally understandable, of course – a baby changes everything! She said she just can’t get back to her old workout routine, and honestly, I think she looks amazing anyway. It just proves she’s a real person, and I adore her even more for it!

‘And so I tried it for a few months for weight management, I guess you could call it.

I used to be able to eat as many sweets, chocolates, and ice cream as I wanted. This medication helped me feel full after eating, which wasn’t happening before.

I have a huge appetite… and surprisingly, I found those GLP-1 medications helpful. I believe they can really work well for people in my situation, though I’m not currently taking them.

‘But maybe if I was prescribed by a doctor I would go back on it’.

Rebel, who has polycystic ovarian syndrome which can make it difficult to get pregnant, started trying to lose weight in 2019 after her fertility doctor recommended it.

I was so thrilled when she and Ramona finally became parents in 2022! They had their beautiful daughter, Royce, through surrogacy, and I couldn’t have been happier for them both.

Melanie Bownds, known as Rebel, had previously shared that she achieved her weight goal of 75 kilograms (165 pounds) by combining intense workouts with trainer Jono Castano Acero, long hikes, and a diet focused on protein and low in sugar.
