Rebekah Vardy FINALLY vows to move on from Coleen Rooney feud – but not before sharing ‘one last thing’ about WAG rival
After years of back-and-forth, it seems Rebekah Vardy is finally learning the art of grace and sportsmanship. Her recent praise for Coleen Rooney during I’m A Celebrity has left me both surprised and amused. It reminds me of a cat that finally learns to stop hissing at the dog – only to find out they were best friends all along!
After a long-standing dispute, Rebekah Vardy has decided to let go and move forward. She’s even gone so far as to commend Coleen Rooney on her performance in the jungle.
On a Sunday evening, Coleen ended up as the first runner-up in the finale of ‘I’m A Celebrity’, with McFly band member Danny Jones edging her out just slightly for the win.
In her daily video feature for The Sun, Rebekah expressed her views on the show, commending The King of the Jungle and fellow contestant Reverend Richard Coles.
In an unexpected turn of events, I found myself extolling the virtues of my long-standing adversary: “Coleen truly shone in this competition, coming in second place. Her performances throughout have been nothing short of exceptional. She should be immensely proud of herself.
Of course, I understand your anticipation, but regrettably, the situation remains unchanged. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
As for Coleen, I firmly declared that it was high time we shifted our focus and usher in the new year on a hopeful note.
Rebekah’s surprising statements mark a change of heart for the mother of six, who had previously criticized her ex-friend on multiple occasions regarding their shared experience in the Jungle.
Ever since Colleen embarked on her jungle adventure, Rebekah hasn’t been shy about voicing her opinions regarding our shared acquaintance. She’s openly labeled her as ‘unexceptional,’ and has even expressed a peculiar desire for said individual to partake in an exotic delicacy, specifically a bull’s testicle. Quite the intriguing perspective, wouldn’t you say?
Additionally, Rebekah stated that her competitor, Coleen, seemed to be having an easier time in the I’m A Celebrity camp compared to her own experience on the ITV program.
The celebrity mentioned that the contestants were receiving lavish items excessively soon within the competition, emphasizing that she barely had enough food during her initial week at the camp.
She mentioned that this year’s contestants seem to be experiencing an easier time on the show than she did. In contrast, during my time, we barely had any food for the initial week, and luxury items like home comforts were nonexistent.
As a devoted admirer, I can’t help but feel they’re off to an easy start enjoying their luxuries so soon, considering the hardships of the jungle. Yet, ITV seems to be sparing them the struggle. The grumpy contestants, though, definitely add an intriguing twist to the show.
Yet in the end, it seems Coleen had the last laugh as she finished in second place.
In comparison, Rebekah was the third campmate to be voted out of her season in 2017.
During the live finale, Colleen seemed to subtly criticize Rebekah while discussing her jungle experience with Ant and Dec. The conversation soon shifted to her detective abilities.
Coleen Rooney, affectionately nicknamed “Wagatha Christie,” traced back the origin of stories about her appearing in The Sun newspaper to none other than Rebekah Vardy’s social media accounts.
During the finale, Declan Donnelly pondered about her detective abilities, saying: “We attempted to deceive you with a few subtle tricks, but you were always able to catch our scent… she’s consistently staying one move ahead.
Ant McPartlin added: ‘She’s good at this… have you always had that instinct?’
With a hint in her eyes, Coleen playfully acknowledged her nickname ‘Wagatha Christie’, saying, “Oh yes, I do have a knack for detecting things!
Raising her eyebrows, she continued: Yeah, I can weigh people up well…’
While she was in the jungle, Colleen noticed that Danny Jones wasn’t telling the truth when he said he saw a koala. This was apparently an attempt to divert their attention while he was engaged in a clandestine task.
Among four family members, it was initially discovered by one of them that Maura Higgins, Reverend Richard Coles, and Dean McCullough had been falsely claiming to live in poor conditions at The Junkyard.
After encountering the three, Dean promptly called out his well-known alias for her: “Once more, it’s Miss Marple at work!
For five years now, the intriguing, undeniable petty, but impossible-to-ignore legal drama known as the Wagatha Christie case has been unfolding, holding the attention of many across the country.
Hardly anyone would have foreseen how a simple Instagram post would transform into one of the most astonishing celebrity tales of the 21st century.
Initially, Rebekah filed a lawsuit against Coleen for making defamatory statements about her sharing stories with the media. However, Coleen eventually emerged victorious when a judge ruled in 2022 that her accusation was essentially accurate.
In simpler terms, the decision does not mark the conclusion of a contemporary replica of the prolonged legal battle Jarndyce v Jarndyce (as portrayed by Charles Dickens). The ongoing disagreement over legal fees, known as ‘WAG War II’, has led to Coleen securing another triumph.
Last month, Rebekah launched an appeal against having to pay Coleen up to £1.8million in legal costs.
Lawyers representing the women contested in the High Court regarding the amount of costs Rebekah was required to cover following her loss in a libel case in 2022, and it has been announced that her legal team is appealing the judge’s decision.
During a three-day trial, attorneys for Rebekah (Jamie Vardy’s wife) contended that the penalty should be lessened because they perceived significant wrongdoing on the part of Coleen’s legal team.
In a close call, Senior Costs Judge Andrew Gordon-Saker decided that Coleen’s legal team did not act improperly. Consequently, he deemed it inappropriate to lower the amount Rebekah was supposed to pay.
According to court records, it is apparent that Rebekah initiated a legal attempt aimed at challenging the finding of misconduct, a fact confirmed by her lawyers, Kingsley Napley.
