Rebecca Romijn Admits There’s One Thing Jerry O’Connell 100% Holds Over Her Head About Star Trek
Among my favorite Hollywood duos, undeniably, are Rebecca Romijn and Jerry O’Connell. It makes their connection even more delightful that they’re both part of the Star Trek universe. Although Jerry’s involvement in the franchise has temporarily paused after the cancellation of Lower Decks, he still clings to a significant detail about his character, Jack Ransom, which he enjoys teasing his wife with playfully.
Romijn discussed her role as Una on Season 3 of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds with ScreenRant. This series can be streamed with a Paramount+ subscription. For those who watched the final episode of Lower Decks, you might remember O’Connell’s character Ransom being promoted to Captain, which places him above Una in the Star Trek universe hierarchy. When asked about this, the actress acknowledged her awareness of this detail, stating: “I am fully aware that he outranks me in the Trek universe.
Whenever Jerry believes he’s superior to me, he makes sure I constantly remember it. In fact, he frequently brings up the topic of him outranking me.
It doesn’t come as a shock to me that this is the case, but it’s worth noting that Jerry O’Connell is an ardent admirer of his wife. He’s been quite vocal on social media lately, expressing excitement about her comeback in the X-Men universe as Mystique, and he might be searching online for more items related to the character right now.
More On Star Trek

Could it be that Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 3 might include more scenes of ‘Moretegas’ as portrayed by Melissa Navia, according to her thoughts on fan demand?
The comment here seems to be a playful banter between a husband and wife. What excites me most about this banter is that it rekindles the hope of seeing Number One and Captain Jack Ransom meet in real life, something that didn’t happen when Star Trek: Strange New Worlds and Lower Decks had their crossover special. Jerry O’Connell contributed to the project with voice acting, even referencing his wife, but he did not appear in person.
It has been shown that Star Trek: Lower Decks and Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, despite being set in separate timelines, can potentially interact. However, it remains uncertain if we will ever witness the meeting of Jerry O’Connell and Rebecca Romijn’s characters. The clock is now ticking as Strange New Worlds prepares for its final season, which will conclude with a truncated Season 6. Showrunner Akiva Goldsman revealed that the reduced episode count was to enable the series to reach the original Star Trek era, and I doubt that another crossover event is part of this total.
Regardless of whether their characters don’t interact further after the show, they can reminisce about their witty exchanges over ranks when SNW concludes.
