Reba McEntire, 69, gushes about finding 'love of her life' Rex Linn after two divorces

As I delve into Reba McEntire‘s captivating journey, I can’t help but be struck by her resilience and adaptability. Her life is a testament to the power of perseverance, as she navigates through love, loss, and success with grace and humor.

In a heartfelt manner, country singer Reba McEntire affectionately referred to her partner, Rex Linn, as the “great love” of her life, expressing her joy over their almost five-year relationship, which came after two previous divorces.

69-year-old artist known for “The Heart Won’t Lie,” and currently serving as a judge on ‘The Voice’, shared insights into their romantic relationship in an interview with Us Weekly, which went live on Wednesday.

Currently, McEntire and Linn share the screen as co-stars on the forthcoming NBC comedy series, “Happy’s Place,” due to make its debut on television screens later in October, specifically on the 18th.

Speaking about her current situation, she expressed her contentment, saying, “I’m blessed with two wonderful roles. One is my beloved partner, Rex Linn.

For nearly five years now, we’ve been a pair, and both our healths are thriving. My family’s health is also strong. Could there be anything else I’d wish for?

Apart from their professional bond, Reba opened up about their friendship off-camera, referring to them as ‘close pals’.

‘Our tastes in food and dislikes are identical, making us both food enthusiasts who enjoy cooking. In our younger days, we dreamed of becoming cowboys and cowgirls, but eventually found ourselves working in the entertainment industry. Whether it’s on or off the screen, our unique compatibility is key to our success.’

She also opened up about working with Linn, explaining, ‘We love to act. We want to be prepared. So, he and I rehearse a lot. We did a Lifetime movie together. We did Big Sky on ABC.’

We’ve both appeared on ‘Young Sheldon’, and now we’re collaborating on ‘Happy’s Place’. This means we take rehearsals very seriously and memorize our lines thoroughly. To enjoy the dialogue and feel comfortable with it, it’s crucial to know it well. We put in a lot of effort to make that happen.

However, when this pair, initially meeting in 1991, aren’t working on set, Reba shared that they often indulge in watching exciting matches of college football together.

“In case we don’t need to do something else, we’ll either practice or head out for a bit, perhaps to feed the birds and water our rose garden. We really enjoy spending time together.

McEntire has been through two marriages. She first married Charlie Battles in 1976, but their marriage ended in divorce in 1987. In 1989, she wed Narvel Blackstock, but they parted ways in 2015.

Regarding the impact of her relationship with Rex on her personally, the singer expressed that “I believe we’ve helped improve each other.

‘Rex makes me feel like a child again, and I enjoy every moment with him. I’m quirky, a bit silly at times. He shares those traits too. We find humor in everything, and our connection is strong. We both adore watching TV shows, always eager to discover new series or films.’

Speaking of it, I myself find delight in observing fellow performers and absorbing their skills, but he does so to fulfill his assignments. As of now, we’re engrossed in watching ‘The Penguin’ on the stream.

Later on, Reba openly discussed the possibility of remarrying in the future and shared with Us Weekly that it holds no significance for her. She is content with how things currently stand between us.

Should Rex consider marriage at some point, let’s discuss that, but for now, I’m content. I value our relationship immensely.

As a die-hard admirer, I’d put it this way: “I stand by Rex, and he stands by me – that’s the foundation of our bond. It’s crucial. With him by my side, I feel secure and protected.

In 1991, Reba McEntire, who is known for her role in Reba, and Rex first met each other on the set of the movie titled “The Gambler Returns: The Luck Of The Draw.

In a later period, the duo rekindled their relationship, and in October 2020, the actress disclosed on her Living & Learning podcast that she was romantically involved with Linn.

At one point, she mentioned that it’s nice to have someone you can converse with, share laughter, and delve into topics about current events. She also spoke about reminiscing on past experiences, sharing stories about our families, his profession as an actor, and my role as an actress.

McEntire commented, “He’s quite fond of my tunes, and I admire his profession. Regardless of what lies ahead, our bond is strong. I’m excited about the prospect of sharing more joyful moments together.

And later that same year, the couple made their red carpet debut as they attended the CMA Awards.

In an interview this year, Reba shared, “Rex and I first met back in 1991 while filming The Gambler alongside Kenny Rogers. Since then, we’ve maintained our friendship.

It came to light that Rex phoned her when her mother, Jacqueline McEntire, fell ill, and he stood by her side following her mother’s demise.

Previously, we had the opportunity to meet due to our shared role on Young Sheldon. Beginning in March 2020, our conversations and meetings continued, leading us to spend time together in June. Since then, we’ve been virtually inseparable.

Since they started dating four years back, Linn’s Instagram page has featured her occasionally as well.

In the new NBC sitcom “Happy’s Place,” starting October 18, you’ll see Reba and Rex sharing the screen together.

As I, Bobbie (Reba), unexpectedly find myself as the heir of my dear father’s cherished restaurant, little do I know that a secret half-sister also lays claim to it. This startling revelation sets the stage for an uncomfortable dynamic between us, challenging our relationship and the future of our shared business.

As a die-hard fan, I couldn’t help but get thrilled when I discovered that Linn took on the role of Emmett the chef in our beloved show! Joining her on this culinary adventure are some other amazing talents like Melissa Peterman, Pablo Castelblanco, Belissa Escobedo, and Tokala Black Elk. The anticipation is killing me as I wait to see these stars light up the screen!

Prior to the premiere of the show and while serving as a judge on The Voice, Reba discussed her ability to remain ‘down-to-earth’ throughout her prosperous career.

In my circle, I choose companions who aren’t merely agreeable; they keep me grounded. Whenever I find myself slipping into arrogance or overconfidence, they gently remind me, “Watch your step, you’re not a giant nut yet!” This is the sentiment I often hear from them.

McEntire further touched upon her role as a vocal coach, assuring the contestants that they don’t need to possess a flawless voice or always hit the right notes. Instead, what truly matters is evoking emotions in her.

The star later responded to speculation that she won’t return to The Voice after the 26th season.

“I adore The Voice, and I feel privileged to be included in the NBC family alongside Happy’s Place. It’s an absolute blast being here!
