Raamla Mohamed, the creator of Hulu’s legal drama Reasonable Doubt, recently shared her thoughts about the show’s future, and her comments have sparked concern about whether there will be a fourth season. The series, starring Emayatzy Corinealdi as criminal defense lawyer Jax Stewart, is currently airing its third season and is known for its compelling storylines and Jax’s dedication to her clients. Following a strong performance in its second season, Hulu renewed the show for a third season in November 2024, just a month after the season two finale.
The third season of Reasonable Doubt began streaming on Hulu on September 18, 2025, with new episodes released each week. The season finale aired on November 13. Currently, the show is following Jax as she defends a well-known actor, Ozzie, who stands accused of killing his girlfriend and stylist, Wendy. As the season progresses, many viewers are wondering if this will be the last season of Reasonable Doubt, or if it will be renewed for more.
I recently had the chance to talk with Raamla Mohamed, the brilliant mind behind Reasonable Doubt. She shared some exciting news about her future – she just signed a deal with 20th TV last November! It’s fantastic to see her getting this kind of support, and I’m really looking forward to seeing what she creates next.
Mohamed said she isn’t sure what she’ll be working on next, and is still deciding on her next project.
So, you recently made a deal with 20th Television to create and produce new shows – everything from dramas and comedies to limited series – for both traditional networks and streaming services. Can you share anything about what projects you’re working on right now?
I don’t have anything concrete planned right now, but I’m exploring my options. I’m really looking for something that genuinely excites me and that I’ll be passionate about.
Mohamed also thought about her future projects, explaining that she’s looking for work she feels passionate about and can truly connect with.
I’ve always believed everyone brings unique strengths to their work. For me, that strength is being a true fan of a show. I can quickly tell if a show will be good because I connect with it on a personal level. When I work on a project, I always ask myself, ‘What would I want to see as a viewer?’ ‘Scandal’ was a perfect fit – as a Black woman in my 30s, I found myself completely absorbed, even casually enjoying popcorn and wine while watching. It was thrilling to work on something I knew I would genuinely love as a fan. So, I focus on finding projects that excite me and carefully consider what I would be passionate about watching.
Mohamed’s recent statements have left the future of Reasonable Doubt Season 4 unclear, as she’s currently unsure about her next role. However, she might simply be waiting until Season 3 completes its run on Hulu this November before making any decisions about the show’s future.
The new series Reasonable Doubt features Emayatzy Corinealdi, McKinley Freeman, Morris Chestnut (known from the Watson series), Tim Jo, and Angela Grovey. New episodes will be available on Hulu every Thursday at midnight Pacific Time.
What to Expect in Reasonable Doubt Season 3’s Remaining Episodes

In Season 3, Episode 3 of Reasonable Doubt, Jax continued working to defend Ozzie, who was accused of killing his girlfriend, Wendy. However, earlier episodes revealed that Ozzie wasn’t innocent and was keeping secrets from Jax that could harm his defense.
It came to light that Ozzie had been secretly communicating with Alex Hill, a person connected to Wendy’s death. Ozzie had been arrested because the gun used in the killing was traced back to him. However, Jax bailed him out of jail for $5 million, with the understanding that Ozzie needed to behave well to win over the jury.
After Wendy passed away, Ozzie relapsed into drug use, which caused him to behave recklessly and could negatively impact his upcoming trial. Following an overdose, it came to light that Ozzie had experienced abuse as a teenager at the hands of an older woman, explaining the origins of his drug use.
Honestly, the latest episode really threw me for a loop. It turns out Alex Hill actually saw Ozzie the night Wendy died, and they were together! That pretty much clears him as a suspect, which is a relief. But then, Alex refused to even talk about it in court, which is so suspicious. It makes me think he’s trying to frame Ozzie, maybe to get back at him for something. I’m dying to know what’s going on in his head, and I’m hoping the rest of the season will finally reveal his motives.
