Reason Maura Higgins is already set to be crowned Queen of the Jungle is REVEALED - ahead of her bombshell entry into camp

As a dedicated follower of reality TV shows, I am beyond thrilled about the arrival of Maura Higgins to I’m A Celebrity this year. Having watched her turn Love Island upside down in 2019 with her unfiltered, fiery antics, I can only imagine what she will bring to the jungle.

In 2019, she caused quite a stir on Love Island by entering as a surprising newcomer. Her candid, passionate actions made that season the most-watched one in the show’s entire history.

Now, Maura Higgins, aged 33, is poised to bring the same charm to “I’m A Celebrity” as she joins the series as a late entrant tonight. She forewarns viewers, “You’re not prepared for what’s coming.

Surprisingly, the Irish TV host garnered more ‘likes’ on her Jungle declaration than any other competitor this season, amassing a total greater than both Colleen Rooney (aged 39) and GK Barry (age 25).

Initially, there was speculation that either Coleen or GK Barry would be the main focus of this TV series, but it now seems like Maura will take center stage instead.

She possesses an ideal ‘follow-up’ vibe, and it’s quite amusing that she’s accompanied by a Reverend; the upcoming event is bound to be fantastic.

A burst of spirited vigor is required at the camp currently, as they appear to be becoming overly friendly…

‘There are a lot of strong women in there so the race for Queen of the Jungle is going to be a tough one, especially now that she’s [Maura] in the mix.’

Yesterday’s post on the “I’m A Celebrity” Instagram account announcing Maura’s entry into the Jungle has garnered a massive 223,000 likes, far surpassing the number of likes for the current campmates.

In a recent online contest on TikTok, popular Gen Z figure GK Barry amassed an impressive 150,000 likes. Following closely behind was social media influencer Coleen Rooney with approximately 45,000 likes, and former X-Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos trailed not far behind with around 39,000 likes.

According to Instagram engagement data, it appears that this year has seen a surge in female popularity online, with Danny Jones from McFly being the male figure receiving the highest number of likes at around 20,000.

Maura has already experienced the backing from her loyal fan group, as she shared with TopMob: “I don’t want to disappoint anyone because my inbox is filled with messages, and so many people have expressed excitement like, ‘Oh my goodness, I hope you’re doing the show. I can hardly wait to see you on it.’

‘And I’m like, I don’t want to back out of the trials and be the biggest wimp in the camp.

‘It’s been five years since I’ve been on TV. That’s a long time, it’s crazy.’

Following concerns among fans that the Love Island US Aftersun host might abandon the program before it started, as she shared photos from a party in Las Vegas on the very day she was expected in Australia, here we are now.

She explained that she found herself in a situation where she was unable to share her reasons for being in Las Vegas. Many people were inquiring about it via direct messages, placing pressure on her to disclose the information.

“It seems you ought to be in Australia. I’ve wagered that you’ll appear on the show, but I can tell you’re feeling a bit anxious about it, isn’t that right?

Prior to entering the jungle, Maura confessed that she had indulged in her favorite foods and red wine, knowing she would later be limited to a diet of rice and beans during her stay.

Instead of preparing anything, it seems like I might have inadvertently indulged excessively, overloading on my favorite foods, guzzling red wine, and consuming an excessive amount of pasta.

‘I probably should have weaned myself off things, but that’s not how my brain works!’

Over the past few days, famous personalities have encountered torrential rains while in the wilderness, with Maura expressing that she finds this jungle challenge to be “the toughest feat I’ve ever undertaken” because she has no prior experience with outdoor camping and sleeping under the stars.

Despite the Irish contestant expressing that she’s “prepared to leave her comfort zone,” the show feels like an “incredible, almost surreal experience” for her.

She mentioned: ‘I aspire to impress myself, and I’m equally thrilled yet apprehensive, as I fear virtually everything.’

Later on, it can be intimidating since they’ve already bonded and become familiar with one another. However, I’m not typically timid, so I’m confident I can handle being the newcomer just fine. Plus, I’m looking forward to injecting some enthusiasm into the group at camp.
