Reality Star’s 100lb Weight Loss Secret: Ozempic Transformation

Known contestant on RuPaul’s Drag Race, Miss Peppermint, has recently revealed a more slender figure.

I, a devoted admirer, am thrilled to share that the 45-year-old star of reality TV has successfully shed an impressive 100 lbs! Last week, she gracefully showcased her svelte figure at the Love Rocks NYC benefit concert, leaving everyone in awe.

The secret behind her slender figure is none other than Hollywood’s preferred weight-loss medication, Ozempic – surprisingly, it’s originally designed for individuals managing type 2 diabetes.

A few years back, when Peppermint was first diagnosed with pre-diabetes, she opted for GLP-1 injections as a treatment.

The Pennsylvanian individual expressed their gratitude during Thursday evening’s event, saying they were able to meet with both their doctor and endocrinologist, and now feel fortunate to have a higher level of healthcare access than before.

As a die-hard Drag Race enthusiast, I can’t help but share the latest news from my favorite queen who graced our screens during season 9 back in 2017. She’s been on an incredible journey and one change that stands out is her significant weight loss. Now, let me tell you something, girl! With this transformation, she’s found herself needing a whole new wardrobe because, guess what? Her clothes just don’t fit the same way anymore!

But the weight loss is secondary to the fact that she is no longer pre-diabetic.

She confided, “I was quite anxious about the fact that crossing that threshold might lead to changes in my life that would prove permanent.

‘I was hovering around that threshold for so long, and I’m happy that I’m not now,’ the star added.

Additionally, during their conversation, she mentioned that she had earlier attempted to lose weight by following a balanced diet and regular workout routine.

Despite the physical change, Peppermint said, ‘I feel like the same person,’ but younger.

‘I feel like I can walk up the steps a little easier and not be like, “Oh, my knee!”‘ she added.

The transgender musician voiced concerns about her ability to access healthcare, given that the newly elected government is reducing its support for transgender individuals and marginalized communities.

Peppermint reflected, ‘It’s a rough time, certainly. Feels very heavy.’

She emphasized that it’s crucial for her not to lose the healthcare and housing she has, and she firmly rejects any form of discrimination because she is transgender. This is simply who she is.

Additionally, it’s worth noting that comic actress Amy Schumer, who recently attended the Love Rocks NYC concert, is among those who have experimented with Ozempic as well.

For her part, 43-year-old Schumer said her experience with the substance was ‘horrible.’

The mother mentioned that she carries a certain gene called GDF15, which significantly increases susceptibility to feeling queasy or nauseous. This likely explains why she experienced severe sickness during her pregnancy, as she shared on the Howard Stern Show earlier this year.

She shared that she began using Ozempic around three years back, but her experience was quite challenging. She ended up being confined to bed due to severe vomiting and lack of energy. However, she mentioned that others who use it seem to be fine.

She has a five-year-old son named Gene, who she shares with her husband Chris Fischer. Despite losing 30 pounds while using the medication, she mentioned that it impeded her from playing with her son.
