Real Racing 3 bids farewell on March 19, 2026, after delivering 12 years of unforgettable memories

Story Highlights

  • Real Racing 3 is a racing game that gave us over 600 licensed cars from 52 manufacturers to race around.
  • As a thank you, you’ll receive 1000 Gold, an Audi S1 e tron quattro, and the 2023 Rimac Nevera.
  • The devs are not offering any refunds or an offline mode.

Okay, so this is a bummer, but EA just announced they’re shutting down Real Racing 3 on March 19, 2026. I’ve been playing this game since it first came out in 2013 – it’s been a solid 12 years of racing! It’s a really popular game and part of a famous series, so it’s sad to see it go, but all good things come to an end, I guess.

Devs confirmed that the decision to end service came after much consideration

Many of you probably know Real Racing 3, a game featuring a huge collection of over 600 officially licensed cars from 52 different makers – I especially loved driving the Porsche, Koenigsegg, and Ford models. What made it stand out to me was the realistic need to maintain and repair your cars to compete on more than 59 tracks across 28 real-world locations.

We’re announcing that after twelve amazing years, we’re retiring Real Racing 3. This means the game will no longer be available for download or play. It was a difficult decision, but we’ve decided to discontinue the game.

The team announced on X (formerly Twitter) that Real Racing 3 will no longer be available after March 19, 2026. They stated that this was a difficult decision made after careful consideration, and they expressed gratitude for the last twelve years players have spent with the game.

You can play and spend any remaining in-game currencies until EOS

After the recent announcement, the game no longer allows in-app purchases and has been taken off app stores. You can still play until the servers shut down, and you’re welcome to use any in-game currency you have left. As a thank you for playing, you’ll also receive 1000 Gold, an Audi S1 e-tron quattro, and a 2023 Rimac Nevera.

It’s disappointing to see this series end, as it holds a lot of nostalgic value for many of us who grew up with it. Many fans share this sentiment, with one saying, “Thank you for making my teenage years so enjoyable and introducing me to the world of racing.”

Honestly, I’m a bit disappointed they’re not offering refunds or a way to play this offline. I totally understand why some fans are frustrated and are asking what happens to the money they already spent – it’s a valid question!
