Real Housewives star Bronwyn Newport’s husband Todd’s $14 million divorce settlement to ex wife revealed

Two years prior to meeting the fashion influencer, Bronwyn Newport’s husband Todd completed his divorce proceedings with his former spouse.

For over two decades of their marriage, Todd Bradley, aged 66, often presented his former spouse, Margaret Bradley, also 66, with extravagant pieces of jewelry much like the lavish gifts a Bravo audience might observe the tech executive give to his current wife on RHOSLC (Real Housewives of Salt Lake City).

Besides their relationship, they were property owners as well, boasting a British-inspired manor worth $14.9 million in Palo Alto, California, currently up for sale, and a captivating five-bedroom estate in San Diego.

According to exclusive court records obtained by DailyMail.com, the financial aspects of Todd’s divorce from his former spouse can now be disclosed, among them being a substantial multi-million dollar agreement.

In August 2009, Margaret chose to end her 27-year-long marriage due to unresolvable conflicts, stating these as the reason for the divorce.

At the age of 22, Margaret and Todd tied the knot and subsequently became parents to two beautiful kids.

In September 2012, a judge in San Diego granted the divorce following discussions between the parties that were conducted independently (at arm’s length) prior to the court.

In the process of ending their marriage, a document known as a Marital Settlement Agreement outlined that Margaret relinquished her claim to receive any form of financial support from Todd, as there were no provisions for child support since their children were already adults when the divorce proceedings began.

Instead, there was a mutual decision for a $4 million settlement, which the previous HP executive handed over to his former spouse.

According to the agreement they both waived their rights to support each other, the document states that DailyMail.com obtained. As a result of this waiver, Todd is obligated to pay Margaret an amount of four million dollars ($4,000,000) as stated in the Marital Settlement Agreement. This payment will not be considered taxable for Margaret nor deductible for Todd.

Todd and Margaret agreed not to make an equalization payment because they had already evenly distributed all their shared assets, debts, and bank accounts.

Furthermore, every involved party consented to cover their respective legal fees, charges, and additional expenses. However, it was Margaret’s initial demand that Todd should shoulder her legal fees upon her filing of the divorce petition.

According to the Income and Expense Declaration submitted by Todd in December 2010, it was estimated by his wife (Bronwyn’s husband) that Margaret’s monthly salary at that time was approximately $30,000.

He pointed out that the calculation was made using the approximate figure of $10 million in cash that Margaret had received so far from the partial division of their joint assets.

With the additional $4 million, his ex wife received a combined settlement of $14 million.

In terms of his own earnings, Todd mentioned that as the executive vice president of Hewlett-Packard, he brings in a gross monthly salary of around $60,219. Additionally, he pointed out that he typically receives an average monthly commission or bonus of approximately $797,518.

In the year 2009, his total earnings exceeded 10 million dollars. Currently, it’s believed that his net worth is approximately 24.6 million dollars.

Margaret independently submitted a Declaration detailing both separate and joint assets, as well as jewelry she received as a gift throughout the marriage.

During the anniversary celebration held in Palm Springs, it’s worth noting that Bravo fans were treated to the sight of Bronwyn, aged 39, being presented with an extraordinary gift: an opera necklace valued at $4 million, adorned with a total of 170 carats.

In the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, Todd and Bronwyn haven’t delved into specifics about the businessman’s past marriage, but it’s known that he has two grown-up kids, with his son being six months senior to the reality TV personality.

Bronwyn has one child from her ex, who tragically passed away – an 18-year-old daughter named Gwen.

In the year 2014, Bronwyn and Todd crossed paths for the first time in San Francisco. At that time, Bronwyn was engaged in finance work. Two years later, they tied the knot and eventually chose Salt Lake City, Utah as their new home, settling into a spacious mansion covering 14,966 square feet.

Their relationship has been rocky since it’s been revealed that Todd cheated on her.

In the last episode of RHOSLC, Bronwyn shared an incident from a past trip where she discovered Todd was texting someone else. Her daughter, Gwen, had noticed this on Todd’s iPad and informed Bronwyn about it, leading to a confrontation between Bronwyn and Todd.

After the group persisted with questions, Bronwyn disclosed, ‘It’s a significant weakness of his. The advantage in business is that he’s never content. He’s always pursuing the next opportunity, the most profitable one, whatever it may be. It’s challenging for him to switch off when he gets home.’

Later on, during her appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, the fashion-savvy individual explained that the incident of infidelity was actually a case of misinterpretation or confusion.

‘Todd never did anything physical with anybody. It wasn’t this big affair,’ she explained.

In a nutshell, I found it awkward seeing him engage so extensively with someone who was quite flirtatious. However, what I wanted to convey to the women that evening is that I harbor insecurities. I tend to take things very personally and it’s challenging for me. Unfortunately, I used that situation as an example, and I wish I hadn’t.
