Alexis Bellino, known from The Real Housewives of Orange County, married John Janssen on Friday, October 3rd. The wedding was a small, private event held in Laguna Beach with close friends and family.
Around 140 of the couple’s nearest and dearest-family and friends-celebrated with them, including cast members from RHOC like Tamra Judge, Jo De La Rosa, and Heather Amin.
Prior to this, Janssen had been in a relationship with RHOC star Shannon Beador, which brought some additional Bravo-related excitement to the event’s attendees.
As a huge fan, I was so excited to hear Bellino, 48, describe the wedding vision to People the next day! She said they were going for a really dreamy, romantic, and rustic-chic feel – something with a natural, earthy elegance. It sounds absolutely perfect, exactly what I imagined for her!
As soon as she got out of the car, she knew she’d found the perfect place. She immediately felt the presence of her mother, Penelope, who had passed away in August 2023.
The setting also captivated her with its intimate atmosphere.
I just have to say, the venue was absolutely perfect for us! It had this incredible combination of stunning natural beauty and complete privacy, being tucked away right between the canyon and the sea,” she went on to explain.
‘It felt like we were celebrating in a secret garden by the ocean.’
The celebration was full of extravagant details, including a fantastic DJ, an electric rock violinist, and even a personalized rap performance by their chef, Mac Noodlez.
Attendees also enjoyed entertainment from a magician who performed from the famous Magic Castle, and a fun Rancher Hat Bar where they could create their own personalized hats.
Oh my gosh, you guys, I was *reading* what People reported, and Bellino said it perfectly! We – I mean, *they* – wanted the wedding to feel so cozy and special, not like anything anyone’s ever seen! And not just a boring reception, but entertainment that *changed* all night, keeping everyone on their toes! Seriously, they wanted little surprises everywhere you looked, just to make the guests feel so loved and amazed! It sounds like a total dream, honestly. I’m already jealous!
We also offered delicious food, amazing music, and entertainment designed to constantly surprise and delight our guests! It was important to us that every detail reflected our personal style and created truly memorable moments.
The celebrations lasted throughout the weekend, starting with a welcome dinner on October 2nd and ending with a delicious farewell brunch on October 4th.
‘We wanted every moment to be about connection and celebration,’ she explained.
Looking back on the big day, Bellino couldn’t have been more thrilled.
“This wedding felt like a dream come true,” she shared with the publication. “It was filled with emotion, joy, and a sense of reverence – it perfectly reflected who we are. It was genuinely the most magical day of our lives.”
Rumors of a romance between Bellino and Janssen began in December 2023, after they met through shared friends.
The couple first appeared together publicly on a red carpet in March 2024, at the DirecTV Oscars Viewing Party in Los Angeles.
The Bravo star confessed she initially didn’t want to announce the relationship, because she didn’t want to conceal her feelings for someone who made her so happy. She was hesitant to keep it a secret from the world.
“I felt a bit anxious, mainly because our relationship has faced a lot of scrutiny,” Bellino told Us at the time.
It all began as a simple friendship, but it blossomed into something much more, and now, well, here we are. Honestly, social media can be really damaging. It’s been a tough journey, but we’ve finally decided to face things head-on and go full force. We’re taking the bull by the horns, as they say!
Even with the criticism they faced, the couple remained focused on their relationship and family, and didn’t allow negative feelings to control them.
Addressing those who criticize her relationship, Bellino shared with Us Weekly in August that she often imagined herself and John making eye contact and crying together. They would both be deeply upset by the negativity directed at what she believes is a truly powerful, impactful, and amazing love story.
We always believed, ‘Time will tell. True love endures.’ And that’s what marriage is, really – standing the test of time. Because think about it: if you can find love, and still manage to rebuild your life even when you’re at your lowest point, facing immense hardship, and ultimately succeed? That proves it’s a genuine and lasting connection.”
