Real Housewives Of Orange County: Shannon Beador cries to Tamra Judge about $75,000 lawsuit filed by her ex
As a long-time observer and fan of the reality TV scene, I must say that this latest episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County was quite the rollercoaster ride! It seems that the tension between Shannon and Alexis has reached new heights, with Alexis accusing Shannon of being a “piece of s***” in the confessional.
On the latest episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County, Shannon Beador became emotionally distraught as she talked about her ongoing court case with former boyfriend John Janssen.
Shannon, 60, exclaimed to Tamra Judge, 56, “I’m under no obligation towards him,” as she clarified that John is filing a lawsuit against her, seeking $75,000.
Shannon stated that unless a payment plan is established for the sum of $75,000 owed to John Janssen by Friday, they will be filing a claim. Consequently, Shannon clarified that she will not be making monthly payments to John Janssen and it is not an option.
‘I’m not going to pay $75,000 to him. How dare he,’ she added.
‘It’s a mess. It’s a mess,’ Tamra said.
In a private conversation, Tamra reminisced about the strong connection she and Shannon developed, which they referred to as “trauma bonding,” following their legal disputes with Jim Bellino back in 2018.
The emotional revelation came during a tense sit-down with Tamra who had initially confronted Shannon about her drinking habits following her arrest for DUI in September 2023.
The conversation quickly escalated, with Shannon accusing Tamra of defamation and spreading lies.
‘I don’t say things that are not true,’ Tamra said. ‘No, I didn’t.’
‘You keep saying you’re drunk, you need to be sober,’ Shannon said. ‘You know nothing about me.’
‘So you do not have a drinking problem?’ Tamra said.
In some challenging times, Shannon admitted to overindulging in alcohol. Additionally, Shannon recalled instances where Tamra found herself in similar difficult circumstances.
‘Have I driven my car into a house?’ Tamra said coldly.
Shannon got up from the table and walked away. She asked the producer to get her purse.
‘She has done nothing but hurt me and spread lies about me,’ Shannon said in the bathroom.
‘Where is she?’ Tamra asked a producer, who told her Shannon was in the restroom.
Shannon expressed, in a private moment, that it was like taking advantage of someone already struggling, adding that she was dishing out unfair shots. She also mentioned that she had the ability to retaliate at their level, but chose not to.
Previously in the show, Emily Simpson was taken aback when Katie Ginella revealed a claim about John supposedly planning to disclose distressing videos from Shannon’s arrest night following her DUI incident.
In a conversation I recently overheard between Alexis Bellino and John, she shared a chilling account about an incident involving her nearly hitting his daughter with a car. She emphasized that if they were to make public this footage from a security camera, it would effectively end her career, as her reputation would be irreparably damaged.
In the eighteenth season opener, named ‘The Gloves Are Off’, the story unfolds with four housewives – Shannon, Emily, Gina Kirschenheiter, and Heather Dubrow – gathered at a La Quinta residence, while another group consisting of Katie, Alexis, Tamra, and Jenn Pedranti were situated at Tamra’s Big Bear abode.
At breakfast, Heather said that the weekend had been fun.
Shannon mentioned that she had no plan whatsoever to disclose to our circle of friends that John Janssen is considering taking legal action against her for unpaid debts.
‘It made you look like you had been dishonest about the relationship,’ Emily said.
Shannon mentioned having piles of credit card statements and canceled checks, which could serve as evidence that she covered expenses during her relationship with John.
‘Shannon’s always said she paid for every single thing,’ Heather said in a confessional.
Shannon mentioned that she believed John was trying to repay her by giving her money, as she had previously spent $10,000 on hotel rooms for his daughter’s birthday party in Los Angeles.
‘And he’s telling me that I owe him money?’ Shannon said.
‘Were you trying to buy his love?’ Emily said.
Emily suggested Shannon send John an offer that she would pay him $30,000.
Shannon firmly declared, “I refuse to do it. On principal, I can’t bring myself to hand him a dollar. It feels like an insult to me.”
Shannon started crying and said she was so grateful for their friendship.
Gina and Emily got into a passionate debate about their friendship, during which Gina claimed that Emily was too assertive.
Gina said she didn’t want Emily to be seen on the show as being the ‘grand b****.’
‘I’ve been aggressive since the day you met me,’ Emily said.
‘I think that you need to work on it,’ Gina said.
‘Well, Heather’s like ”get on your knees” and you’re like ”okay Heather”,’ Emily said.
‘That’s not true,’ Gina said. ‘I don’t know. Everybody f***ing hates me.’
1. Gina discarded her oar and departed, finding it difficult to reenter the house. It was then that Emily approached, offering a comforting embrace, and they both began to shed tears while discussing and resolving their problems.
‘Maybe things at home are worse than she’s letting on,’ Heather said of Gina.
As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but feel a deep sense of heartache and disbelief as I watch Jenn’s heartbreak unfold before my eyes. You see, I’ve been following her story for years, cheering her on through the ups and downs of her relationship with Will. To witness the man she loved so passionately finding happiness with someone else, especially a former friend, is almost too much to bear. The pain is raw, real, and palpable. I can’t help but feel like a piece of me has been torn apart as well. It’s a stark reminder that life isn’t always fair, and love doesn’t always conquer all. But I remain hopeful for Jenn, knowing that she is strong and resilient, and I’ll be here cheering her on every step of the way, through the heartache and the healing, until she finds the happiness she deserves. #JennStrong ❤️💔
The drama intensified when John called Alexis, leading to an emotional outburst from her.
Alexis exclaimed over the phone, “I’m about to reach my limit, I can feel myself becoming uncontrollable!” or alternatively, “I’m close to losing control, everything is being stripped away!”
Alexis then went to Katie crying.
‘It came to the point where John has had enough,’ Alexis said in confessional.
Alexis said to a producer that she wasn’t able to say what pushed John to the limit.
‘There’s a lot that I know that Shannon probably wouldn’t want anyone else to know.’
‘She’s such a piece of s***,’ Alexis said crying.
Upon their return to Orange County, Tamra headed to Gina’s residence. There, Gina demonstrated the renovations she had undertaken following her boyfriend Travis’ departure.
During our recent adventure in Big Bear, I found Alexis to be quite lively. On another occasion at La Quinta, Tamra inquired about Shannon’s consumption habits, and Gina candidly shared that she indeed had been drinking.
‘Here’s the thing, there are people who have severe drinking problems and people who just act like a**holes,’ Tamra said. ‘It’s the manipulation. It’s the lying.’
‘She really needs her real friends and you’re her best f***ing friend,’ Gina said.
‘I feel like tough love is the best thing for her,’ Tamra said.
Jenn went out with her boyfriend Ryan for them to get a pedicure.
She told him about La Quinta and about how Tamra said she should start an Only Fans about her feet.
Ryan quickly shut down the idea of Jenn joining Only Fans.
After discovering about Shannon’s distress due to the lawsuit, Tamra made an effort to reconcile and extended an invitation to Shannon for a party she was planning to host in the near future.
Despite the emotional confrontation, the two shared a hug and Tamra expressed her love for Shannon.
The Real Housewives of Orange County will return next Thursday on Bravo.
