Real Housewives of Dubai: Chanel Ayan flips out on Lesa Milan after Lesa says she can’t trust her as even more drama ensues during the Bali trip
As a seasoned viewer of reality TV shows, I must say that The Real Housewives of Dubai has certainly caught my attention this week! It seems like the ladies are having quite an adventure, from offering gifts at statues to screaming under waterfalls (which sounds like something straight out of a B-movie horror flick).
On the latest episode of The Real Housewives of Dubai on Bravo, Chanel Ayan became visibly upset when Lesa Milan disclosed that she had broken her trust by sharing Sara Al Madani’s confidential voice message with the group.
On their second evening in Bali, the 46-year-old model excused herself from the women’s dinner and headed to her room, where she wept uncontrollably.
In the opening scene of the episode entitled “Note to Be Trusted,” there was a heated argument between Chanel and Lesa, aged 35. The disagreement stemmed from Chanel sharing a personal voice message, which was intended for Lesa only, with another person named Sara, allegedly breaching Lesa’s trust.
It turned out that Chanel assumed Sara was speaking negatively about Caroline Brooks, but upon playing the message to the group, it became clear that Sara was actually discussing Taleen Marie, who is 36 years old.
Initially, I was utterly taken aback when I read Sara’s note indicating her not being a die-hard admirer of Taleen. Then, hearing Caroline Stanbury, 48, share that very message with our circle left me reeling in surprise and disbelief!
Chanel responded firmly, “I’m afraid that’s where our conversation ends, Caroline.” Then, she gestured with her middle finger, implying, “Take this and consider it thoroughly.”
‘Holy f***,’ Caroline Brooks, 38, said.
‘It’s all good, let’s move on,’ Taleen said. ‘Sara is not the biggest fan of me…’
“To be truthful, I find myself needing a moment to step away, or else I fear I might reach my breaking point,” Chanel confided in Lesa.
The producer inquired about Chanel’s destination, to which she responded that she required some time off. Afterward, an agitated Chanel retreated to her room, where her sobs were audible to the cameras stationed outside.
‘I’m so hurt by it,’ Chanel said. ‘Actually I’m very loyal.’
Lesa went to go check on her but quickly left crying herself
‘She shouted f*** you,’ Lesa said in a confessional.
Lesia exclaimed that Chanel scolded her, asking, “How could you make such a scene in front of everyone, causing me embarrassment?”
Lesa shared that she had experienced an unprecedented level of disrespect throughout her life, which left her in tears. Later, Lesa recounted to Brooks how Chanel had verbally attacked her. Brooks advised Lesa to let go of the incident and join the other ladies for a night out at a dance club.
‘Ayan is missing out,’ Lesa said in the car on the way to the club with the other ladies.
Inside the club, Taleen set out to help a single woman find a suitable companion. She introduced a man resembling Fabio for conversation with Brooks. He shared he was employed at a bar nearby, which sparked an excursion of bar-hopping with the ladies. Later that night, Stanbury surprised everyone by jumping onto the stage for an impromptu dance performance.
The following day, Chanel phoned her spouse to express that she believed Lesa was meddling with her connection to Stanbury.
‘I feel so betrayed by her,’ Chanel said of Stanbury.
‘I feel played and I feel like a fool,’ Chanel said in a confessional.
During breakfast, Chanel mentioned she stayed indoors because she felt down. She shared with Lesa that they should discuss something, but instead, Lesa began to cry.
‘I was really in a bad place,’ Chanel apologized to Lesa.
‘But we don’t speak like that to each other,’ Lesa said.
Chanel admitted, “I didn’t get any rest last night,” adding, “It really stung when you suggested you didn’t trust me.”
‘Maybe I overreacted and I’m sorry,’ Lesa said.
As a lifestyle advisor, I’d rephrase it as follows: After reconciling, Chanel and Lesa found themselves in a day focused on positivity. Sara, our guide for the day, suggested we head to a breathtaking waterfall to let go of past struggles. On our journey, however, Stanbury, feeling the effects of last night’s indulgence, needed to pull over so she could step out and alleviate some discomfort.
As we approached the breathtaking waterfall, our guide explained that it was tradition for us to purify ourselves. He graciously provided us with beautiful saris to wear. In reverence, he guided us to place our offerings before a stunning statue, an act I eagerly embraced as a devoted admirer of this rich culture.
‘I don’t even walk in my house barefoot,’ Taleen said.
The guide told them to pray to the statues, but Lesa wasn’t into it.
In a candid moment, Lesa expressed her confusion, saying, “Regarding the cultural aspects, I want to stress that I hold no disdain, but it feels quite unlike my understanding of Christianity.”
The ladies went under a giant waterfall to scream but Stanbury opted to check her phone.
Stanbury expressed that if he were at home currently, he’d be enjoying his coffee in bed, receiving a vitamin drip, and scheduling a massage for later in the afternoon. He added, somewhat wryly, “Who on earth would choose to go to a waterfall and scream with a group of women who aren’t fond of you?”
The other women went under the waterfall and screamed to help them get trauma out of their system.
Lesa expressed to the camera, “Stanbury seems perpetually gloomy to me.” She added, ” frankly, I’m not preoccupied with it at all.”
After returning home, Lesa expressed her gratitude towards Sara for the day’s events. She shared with the group that she had contacted the designer of Miss Indonesia, who generously supplied them with traditional, handcrafted dresses for the evening. Lesa then distributed these beautiful dresses among the ladies.
Stanbury was not happy with her dress.
‘These are couture dresses. These were not made for us,’ Stanbury said.
She mentioned that this item had been taken from a local restaurant worker, who likely needs it back within the hour, she noted.
‘I’m trying to make it work but it’s not working,’ Stanbury said.
‘I don’t want to disrespect the culture but these colors they’re not me,’ Taleen said.
Brooks expressed that if given the choice, he wouldn’t have picked mustard yellow. He stated emphatically that he doesn’t prefer or wear mustard yellow.
