Reacher spinoff in the works at Prime Video
As a dedicated fan of the Jack Reacher series, I can hardly contain my excitement with the announcement of the upcoming spin-off series, Neagley! Having binge-watched both seasons of Reacher and being captivated by Maria Sten’s portrayal of Frances Neagley, it feels like a dream come true to see her character getting her own show.
A Reacher spin-off series is coming our way from Prime Video.
In the television show “Reacher,” which is inspired by Lee Child’s Jack Reacher novel series, we follow the narrative of the main character, Reacher (portrayed by Alan Ritchson). This ex-military police major from the U.S. Army finds himself wrongly accused of a murder he didn’t actually commit in season one
In the second season, having proven his innocence amidst a bombshell local scandal, Reacher was reached out to by ex-members from his disbanded military investigation unit following the death of one of their comrades
Based on the acclaimed performance of the original show, it appears that Deadline is reporting the creation of a new series called “Neagley,” which is rumored to focus on the beloved character played by Maria Sten. It seems this spin-off has a good chance of being officially greenlit
In the second season of “Reacher,” I stepped into the spotlight, portraying one of the hero’s old colleagues. Since then, I’ve developed into his right-hand man and loyal companion, a role I proudly embrace as we navigate through each thrilling adventure together
The article mentions that Ritchson is set to make a guest appearance on the series, while showrunner Nick Santora and Nicholas Wootton (from ‘Prison Break’) will collaborate as co-showrunners and executive producers for the spin-off’s development
Just like they do with the primary series, Amazon MGM Studios, Skydance Television, and CBS Studios have joined forces for the production of Neagley
The third installment of “Reacher” is scheduled for release, drawing from Child’s novel “Persuader”. Despite the book not featuring Neagley, it’s been confirmed that Sten will make an appearance in the forthcoming episodes
Production for the third season of Reacher is now underway according to Ritchson, though an official release date hasn’t been announced as of yet
The series will additionally present a fresh antagonist for Reacher – Paulie, a character from the “Persuader” book who is portrayed on screen by Olivier Richters, known for his role in “Black Widow”
On the Reacher Instagram, a backstage picture was posted revealing actor Richters portraying his character by modifying Ritchson’s trailer door sign. He crossed out Reacher’s name and replaced it with ‘Paulie’, using a red marker pen as the new label
Reacher is streaming on Prime Video.
