As a dedicated follower of breakdancing and global pop culture, I must say, I am absolutely thrilled to see Rachael ‘Raygun’ Gunn immortalized as a Christmas decoration! It is truly remarkable how someone can touch the hearts of millions with their unique style and unyielding spirit.
The sensational Australian breakdancer, Rachael ‘Raygun’ Gunn, has been memorialized in the form of a holiday ornament.
37-year-old Raygun became widely recognized due to her distinctive acts during the Paris Olympics earlier this year. Meanwhile, a 36-year-old scholar drew attention by leaping about like a kangaroo and slithering across the floor in a manner reminiscent of a snake.
Despite not scoring any points in each of her three contests, she managed to attain international acclaim nonetheless.
Currently, a U.S. firm is honoring the contentious breakdancer by converting several of her unique dance steps into festive Christmas ornaments.
The Texas-based company, That Laser Shop, has crafted a decorative piece depicting the Olympian, adorned in her green and golden jumpsuit.
The decoration features a breakdancer in her well-known squat stance, reaching for the peak of her sneaker.

Another replica of an Olympic medal, depicting Raygun in diverse poses related to her performance, is displayed.
The engraving features a message that reads: ‘2024. Fake it till you break it.’
The ornaments, available on That Laser Shop’s website, retail for $34 AUD.
2024 saw a lot of buzz surrounding this individual, regardless of whether you’re part of “Team Raygun” or not.
Since her disappointing showing at the Olympics, the university professor has largely stayed out of the public eye.
However, following the games, she publicly expressed her feelings about the painful online backlash she experienced, which left her deeply saddened.
Although the Olympic breakdancer drew admiration from many, including music star Adele who praised him during a concert, Raygun faced a wave of criticism and skepticism from several online users instead.
Last month, Raygun confirmed on Sydney’s 2DayFM Jimmy & Nath for Breakfast that she doesn’t want to compete again and she has ruled out making an appearance at the 2028 Olympics.

She expressed that it’s been quite distressing for her, as she felt powerless regarding the way others perceived her or who she truly is.
Raygun will continue to be recognized as the top female breakdancer globally following the Games, yet she expresses no desire to participate in the event taking place in Los Angeles in 2028.
In four years, might you consider participating in the Olympics once more, Nath asked the rising star?
‘No,’ she replied laughing. ‘Nooooooo.’
When asked if she’d persist in breaking (as in a habit or pattern), Raygun responded: “I do keep breaking, but I’m no longer competing. I won’t compete any longer. Absolutely not, definitely not.
