Raygun doesn't look like this anymore! Controversial Olympian unveils shock new look following breakdancing disaster in Paris

As a dedicated follower of the Olympic Games and a breakdancing enthusiast, I must say, I’ve never seen such a rollercoaster of emotions as I’ve witnessed with the story of Raygun. From the moment she hopped onto the world stage at the Paris Olympics in that unforgettable green-and-gold tracksuit, I couldn’t help but feel a pang of sympathy for her. It was clear that her routine wasn’t what the judges were looking for, and the internet had a field day with their memes.

Olympic breakdancer Raygun has debuted a surprising new look.

During the Paris Olympics, Rachael Gunn, an Australian Olympian known by her name, found herself the subject of worldwide mockery.

In an outfit reminiscent of a cricket kit rather than typical breakdancing attire, Raygun leaped about as if a kangaroo and slithered across the floor similar to a wriggling snake, executing a dance routine that failed to win over the judges’ approval.

This week’s Stellar Magazine cover, featuring a breakdancer, was unveiled on Instagram on Thursday, showcasing a striking new appearance for the performer.

As an ardent admirer, I must say, on that cover shot, Raygun traded her snug green and golden tracksuit and cap for a mesmerizing electric blue gown boasting flared arms – a transformation that left me absolutely spellbound!

The former scholar, now breakdancer, stands boldly with her hands on her hips, contrasting against a bright yellow nylon background.

Raygun styled her long ponytail neatly pulled back, and opted for a sun-kissed makeup style featuring bold dark red lipstick for the photoshoot.

She completed her look with a pair of strappy black heels.

The heading on the cover says, ‘What was Raygun’s next move?’ paired with a quote from the interview within.

‘You did not bring me down. You did not succeed. I will stand by what I did,’ she says.

At this year’s Paris Olympics, Raygun suffered a sweeping defeat across all her competition rounds, yet her performance gained considerable attention, with figures like The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon making light of it online.

Stepping off the plane from the City of Lights, I found myself unexpectedly crowned as the World’s Top Breakdancer – a title that came as a shock, given I didn’t even earn a medal. The unique grading system for dance performances turned out to be the twist in this tale, making it clear that my journey was about so much more than medals.

However, she is now being recognized with a fresh honor, as homemade tributes to her daily activities are being set up on Australian front lawns, in preparation for Halloween on October 31st.

A Melbourne local has memorialized her kangaroo’s jumping motion by creating a paper mache figurine, which includes an Australian tracksuit and an Olympics flag as part of the design.

As an ardent admirer, I can’t help but share this thrilling news: A mysterious statue has mysteriously appeared on our neighborhood street! I made sure to call in to 3AW to spread the word about this enigmatic masterpiece that’s been erected right here in our very own suburb. Who is the artist behind this stunning creation? That remains a tantalizing mystery, but one thing’s for certain – this artwork has definitely captured my heart!

After achieving tremendous success with breakdancing in Paris, Raygun is currently performing dance routines in the northern city’s streets, as shared by the caller.

3AW host Ross Stevenson was stunned when shown an image of the tribute.

‘That is amazing,’ he said.

‘That is awesome. Someone’s put up a statue of Raygun.

‘Is that in someone’s backyard or in a public thoroughfare?’

The caller replied: ‘It’s in a public thoroughfare, on the nature strip.’

Stevenson said: ‘That is outstanding.

‘Look at the balance they’ve managed to achieve there with that statue. How do you do that?’

It is not the only Raygun tribute snapped ahead of Halloween.

A different residence in Melbourne has employed a counterfeit skeleton, arranging it in the stance of a kangaroo performing its hopping dance and outfitting it with an identical tracksuit.

A new tribute made from bones, illuminated by glowing red LED eyes, has been discovered at an undisclosed Australian site.
