Ray J says his days are numbered — and the number he’s citing is 2027.

The singer shared on Instagram Sunday that they narrowly avoided a life-threatening situation, and credited the prayers and support of their fans with saving them.

Singer Ray J, whose full name is Willie Norwood, was arrested on Thanksgiving morning for allegedly making criminal threats.

I was so worried when I heard he was in the hospital, but he shared a video letting us know he’s doing okay. He said his heart is only working at about 25%, which is scary, but he’s staying positive and focused on getting better. He really appreciates all the prayers and support everyone has been sending, and honestly, it’s comforting to know we’re all there for him. He believes things will be alright, and I’m hoping and praying that’s true!

However, a separate livestream—shared in clips on the @Livebitez Instagram page—showed a different side of things.

In a video posted on Tuesday, 45-year-old William Ray Norwood Jr. – known professionally by another name – stated he plans to stop performing by 2027, making a gesture like cutting his throat to emphasize the point.

“No, don’t say that, brother,” a friend says off camera.

Following Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner’s defamation lawsuit against Ray J, he responded by reaffirming his claims about a RICO investigation, posting on social media, ‘The rain is coming.’

“That’s what the doctor told me,” Ray J said quietly. He seemed annoyed, though, as his friend spoke over him, confidently predicting he’d live to see his grandchildren grow up.

Okay, so I was reading this interview with Ray J in the Times, and it was wild. Apparently, before all the drama with Princess Love – you know, her claiming he left her and their baby to go to a strip club – he was actually questioning his own morals. Like, seriously asking himself if he even had any. It’s just… a strange thing to read knowing what came out afterwards, you know?

In late November, Ray J was arrested in Los Angeles after police suspected him of making criminal threats. According to reports, he allegedly pointed a gun at his ex-wife, Princess Love, during an argument that took place while livestreaming on Thanksgiving.

A court order prevents him from contacting his estranged partner or their children, Melody, age 7, and Epik, who recently turned 6. According to court filings obtained by Page Six, he claims he brandished a gun to stop her from leaving his home with the children after a family gathering where alcohol was involved.

In the last videos, he states his parents will be picking him up “tomorrow” to go to a doctor’s appointment. He also says his sister, Brandy, covered his bills “for the rest of the year,” which he finds amazing.

Even though the singer-actor paid the bill, Ray J claims his children have at least $10 million saved in a trust fund.

According to TMZ, the R&B singer was admitted to a Las Vegas hospital in early January due to heart pain and pneumonia. He previously fought pneumonia four years ago.
