Ray J surprised fans in a new Instagram video by announcing he’s traveling across the country by hitchhiking.

Okay, so this is a bit of a shocker! I just saw that a really famous singer and actor – he’s 44 – put out a message on Saturday basically asking his fans for help. He’s driving all the way from Florida to Los Angeles and is looking for some home-cooked meals along the way, and even a place to crash for the night. It’s definitely an unusual request, but it seems like he’s embracing a very real, down-to-earth approach to his cross-country trip!

Ray J, whose full name is William Ray Norwood Jr., surprisingly revealed he was hitchhiking as part of a challenge for a new reality show he’s developing called Celebrity Hitchhiking.

The strange video comes after his arrest on Thanksgiving, where he was accused of threatening his wife, Princess Love, with a gun.

The Daily Mail has contacted Ray J’s team for a statement, but they haven’t heard back yet.

In the video, Ray J was on a city sidewalk with palm trees lit up for Christmas, hitchhiking by sticking out his thumb to try and get a ride.

I was really struck by what Ray J shared – he’s actually hitchhiking, hoping someone will offer him a place to stay for the night. He explained he’s looking for a family to take him in, learn from their way of life, understand what’s important to them, and then support him as he continues his journey. It’s a really beautiful way to look at things – finding connection and guidance as you move through life.

Okay, so this is a bit out there, but I heard from Ray J that he’s actually hitchhiking! Apparently, he’s doing a ‘scouting run’ to see if his new show idea has legs – literally! He told me he’s trying to figure out if the concept is good by experiencing it firsthand. Talk about commitment to your craft!

He said if people see him traveling from Tampa back to Los Angeles, it’s definitely him, and he had a spare set of clothes with him.

Kim Kardashian’s ex-boyfriend mentioned he hoped to return to Los Angeles by December 22nd, likely to spend Christmas there.

He said he was shooting a test episode for a show called ‘Celebrity Hitching,’ but then panned the camera around to show he was alone.

‘It’s real, and I’m all by myself. As you can see, nobody’s with me,’ he claimed.

He explained he needs basic necessities like food and a place to stay, and that he’s been through a lot recently, likely referencing his arrest on Thanksgiving. He described his show as a genuine, authentic experience, filmed entirely on his phone – though he does have a camera as well – and emphasized that it’s all him, doing things as they happen.

I was really saddened to see Ray J’s recent post. He was incredibly vulnerable, admitting things have been really tough for him lately and asking his fans for a little support – just a place to stay and some help getting back on his feet. It takes a lot to ask for help like that, and I really feel for him.

He said he believes there are still good people around and promised to pay back anyone who helps him. He’s currently in Tampa and trying to get to Los Angeles before Christmas to be with his family and children. He described himself as wearing a cream jumpsuit with a red backpack and said he’s staying at the Hard Rock Hotel, asking if someone could please help him.

Another concerning video posted on Saturday featured Ray J with a woman in a casino.

I was really worried watching the video he posted. He called it ‘Rock bottom,’ and in it, he was at a slot machine telling someone he only had $800 left. It was heartbreaking to see.

He explained that when he was running low on funds, someone advised him to gamble at a casino in an attempt to win it all back, and that’s why he was using what he said was his last bit of money.

In the video, a woman asked for a drink made with Casamigos tequila, but Ray J thought it was too pricey and suggested she choose a drink with Don Julio instead.

A new video surfaced showing Ray J speaking to the woman previously seen in the casino. In the video, he says someone questioned him about how he spoke to his ‘girlfriend’ – it’s unclear if he was referring to the woman with him – and he claims he told them they were wrong and used extremely vulgar language, telling them to ‘eat my balls’.

He explained they were filming a live video for a show called ‘Celebrity Hitchhiking,’ and each night they had to find a new place to stay. The woman responded with shock, saying, ‘So, we’re homeless? Are we seriously homeless tonight? I had no idea what was going on!’

Ray J encouraged viewers of the video to approach him and the other person and offer to stay the night.

‘I wasn’t even aware. I thought we had a place to stay tonight,’ the woman added.

Ray J’s recent arrest for allegedly pointing a gun at his estranged wife, Princess Love, has led to public accusations from her of abuse and intimidation towards women.

Ray J was arrested on Thanksgiving morning after a Twitch livestream showed him handling a handgun and appearing to load it. His wife, Princess Love, then came into view and claimed he had pointed the gun at her.

Ray J allegedly denied this, instead claiming she and another individual were intoxicated.

Now an emotional Princess Love, 41, has addressed the terrifying incident on her Instagram.

In a now-deleted video, she pleaded with him to seek treatment for addiction and shockingly revealed that their children had once witnessed him in bed with another woman.

The Daily Mail has reached out to Ray J and Princess Love’s team regarding the video, but they haven’t received a response yet.

Princess Love, mother to six-year-old Melody and five-year-old Epik with Ray J, recently shared that she’s been prioritizing her own well-being and focusing on raising her children.

In a recent video, she explained that she’s been prioritizing her well-being by limiting her social media use and focusing on work and her children, stating she’s ‘minding her business’ and has ‘had enough,’ as reported by TMZ.

My children are my top priority, and I would never willingly put them in harm’s way. That means I’d never leave them with someone who was threatening people with a gun – their safety is everything to me.

I’m raising my children entirely on my own. I handle everything – school drop-offs, parent-teacher meetings, and bedtime – while you’re off causing harm and mistreating women.

Princess Love claims that Ray J pulled a gun on her while she was attempting to leave his house with their children.

She said she had agreed to spend Thanksgiving with him in order for him to be with their children.  

I won’t let you avoid responsibility for your actions. You pulled a gun on me and my cousin’s husband because I was trying to leave with my children. I came to your house and offered to cook Thanksgiving dinner simply because I wanted your kids to have time with you.

She claimed the kids then ran into him with another woman the last time she left them with him. 

I need to be here because the last time I left them with you, they discovered you in a compromising situation with another woman. When I questioned you about it, you were incredibly disrespectful and told me to go away. It’s time you took responsibility for your actions.

Look, I’m really worried about you. You need to get help – this isn’t just about drinking anymore, it’s something more serious. And honestly, it’s incredibly frustrating to have my character attacked like this. I’ve dedicated my life to being the best mom possible since my children were born, and I won’t let anyone distort that.

I truly believe I’ve been a great mother, and I stand by that. My children are my priority, and everything I do revolves around them – even things I don’t necessarily want to do. It’s exhausting, but I’ll keep praying for you and hoping you get the support you need.

It’s unacceptable and frightening to brandish a gun or leave guns lying around. Neither I nor my cousin’s husband did anything to warrant that behavior, and it must never happen again.

Ray was arrested after a disturbance on Thanksgiving morning where he reportedly brandished a gun and made threats.

According to documents obtained by the Daily Mail, Ray J, whose legal name is Willie Norwood, was arrested by the Los Angeles Police Department at 4:08am. He was charged with making criminal threats, which authorities described as actions that caused fear and intimidation.

Under California law, a criminal threat involves threatening another person or people with serious physical harm or death.

According to sources within law enforcement, police went to a home in Porter Ranch after receiving a report of a possible domestic dispute where threats were made.

Although he remained in an LA jail for a few hours on $50,000 bail, he has since been released.

Ray J reportedly went on a live video, expressing that he was having a terrible Thanksgiving. He claimed someone was trying to take his kids and that he’d received threats.

During the live video, he allegedly grabbed a handgun, seemed to load it, and said things that people watching understood as threats. He reportedly warned that he would shoot anyone who came near his door.

Princess Love allegedly arrived and claimed Ray J had pointed a gun at her while she was holding their daughter.

Oh my god, did you hear what he said?! It was insane! He was just yelling, ‘Take my kids, because you guys are drunk!’ Like, seriously, he just offered up his own children to prove a point about drunk driving! Then he kept repeating, ‘You want to drive drunk? Go ahead, drive drunk, even you, Princess!’ It was…it was just so intense and disturbing, I can’t stop thinking about it. He was so passionate, but in such a wild, heartbreaking way.

‘Ray, you just pointed a gun at us,’ she replied.

‘I didn’t point nothing at y’all!’ he said. 

Moments later, a man entered the home and confronted Ray J, triggering further escalation.

Ray J is accused of making further threats, reportedly saying he would shoot someone.

The livestream audio includes the sound of a child crying and police sirens as officers responded and made the area safe.

Princess told officers that her son had mentioned a gun was on the table, although the recording of the conversation isn’t completely clear.

Authorities reportedly cleared the residence and took Ray J into custody without further incident.

After learning Ray J had been detained, his manager immediately went to pick him up, according to a report from TMZ.

Ray J was later seen at a bail bonds office.

Princess Love and Ray J tied the knot in 2016 at The Cathedral of St. Vibiana in Los Angeles, a beautiful Catholic church.

The couple has gone through cycles of filing for divorce and then getting back together throughout their marriage, most recently when Princess initiated divorce proceedings last year.
