Rapper Enchanting’s cause of death revealed two months after shock passing aged 26
As a dedicated follower of music and the lives of artists who touch our hearts with their talent, I am deeply saddened by the untimely death of Enchanting. Her journey from the church choir to the hip-hop scene was nothing short of inspiring, and her unique ‘Trap-n-Blues’ style undoubtedly resonated with many.
The reason behind the demise of rap artist Enchanting has come to light, approximately two months after her passing at the age of 26. This occurred following a prolonged struggle for survival in the intensive care unit.
According to TMZ, the Texas-born celebrity, originally known as Channing Nicole Larry, tragically passed away due to an unintentional overdose involving opioids.
The Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office verified that Enchanting had ingested oxycodone and benzodiazepines.
Oxycodone is an artificially made painkiller from the opioid family, while benzodiazepines are a group of tranquilizers sold under brand names like Valium and Klonopin.
Enchanting was signed to Gucci Mane’s 1017 label as recently until earlier this year.
Over the past four days, she visited my home seeking to be cleaned up. She exerted great effort, and I made every possible attempt to assist her. As reported by The Shade Room, a representative from her management team verified her passing on Tuesday night.
Larry’s partner, MotionGod Bandman, shared a picture of them on Facebook during a difficult time, saying: “You’ve finally discovered the tranquility you were seeking. This has been tough on me too.”
1017’s website still features an active profile for Larry, as indicated by his bio, which explains that he delved into music following his high school graduation.
The rapper is quoted on the website as describing her style as ‘Trap-n-Blues.’
She mentioned that others often understand her thoughts. It’s possible that she could assist someone in navigating any challenge, as they can tune into her words and find tranquility.
Larry’s YouTube page has generated four million views in total, and she has around 660,000 monthly streams on Spotify.
In 2020, Larry appeared on the mixtape Gucci Mane Presents: So Icy Summer.
Apart from her music career, Larry has an additional creative presence on the platform OnlyFans, garnering more than 25,000 likes.
In a 2021 interview, Larry shared that she was born to military parents in Germany, later relocated to Atlanta, and ultimately views Fort Worth as her hometown.
2023 saw Larry being featured by the Dallas Observer. In this interview, she shared her journey in music, starting from her days as a choir member in church and a cheerleader in high school. Post her graduation, she honed her skills in the beauty industry, working on hair and nails, before venturing into hip-hop music.
She mentioned that music has always been something she found naturally comfortable with, hinting at an innate musical aptitude. Rather than struggling to develop a skill, she suggested investing more time and energy since it seemed like a natural fit for her.
During that period, Larry was teaming up with the producer J White, who had a history of creating successful tracks for artists like Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion, and Gucci Mane.
Larry also spoke of her love of the growing number of female artists in the realm of hip-hop.
She expressed enthusiasm as she observed a trend toward increasing female participation in this sport, which was once predominantly male-led. She added, “It’s fantastic for the ladies,” expressing her delight.
