Ranking All 5 Marvel Studios Trailers Shown at NYCC From Worst To Best

During New York Comic Con, Marvel showed off five new trailers for shows and seasons coming to Disney+ over the next few years, giving fans a sneak peek at what’s to come.

Out of the five trailers shown, only the trailer for Wonder Man was officially released. A portion of the trailer for Season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again became available online by mistake.

I enjoyed all the trailers shown at NYCC, and none of them were actually bad. However, some stood out more than others – whether because they were more memorable, had a better flow, or just got me more excited about the upcoming shows.

All 5 Marvel NYCC Trailers Ranked

5) Wonder Man

I’m really looking forward to Wonder Man – I’m a big fan of superhero stories that play with the genre itself, and this show has a fantastic cast and crew. The trailer looked promising, but honestly, it didn’t really change how excited I was – I didn’t see anything that particularly stood out to me.

I was really impressed with Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Simon Williams and think he’ll be fantastic in the series. It was also great to see Ben Kingsley back, and I enjoyed the humor in the trailer. However, it feels like the show is deliberately keeping a lot of details secret from viewers before it comes out.

All eight episodes of Wonder Man hit Disney+ on January 27, 2026.

4) X-Men ’97 (Season 2)

The trailer for X-Men ’97 Season 2 delivered exactly what I hoped for: it was a fun, vibrant, and nostalgic look back, but also hinted at some more serious themes. Just like the Wonder Man trailer, there wasn’t a single disappointing moment. The show’s focus on bringing the X-Men back to the ’90s works on two levels – it’s what the characters are trying to do within the story, and it’s also the show’s overall mission.

The initial glimpse of Apocolypse was really promising, and I’m excited to see what happens in Season 2. I’m a big fan of shows with lots of characters, and this one seems to have a great group – I even think I spotted Polaris among the extras!

X-Men ’97 Season 2 will release in Summer 2026.

3) Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man (Season 2)

Let me start by saying I’m a huge Spider-Man fan, so I might be a little biased. I was incredibly excited by the trailer for the new series, especially the action sequence, and it already rivals shows like Wonder Man and X-Men ’97 in my opinion.

Seeing Gwen Stacy portrayed as herself – with hints of her future as Ghost-Spider – and getting glimpses of Venom were both great. But the real highlight was the animated Daredevil, voiced once again by Charlie Cox, in his classic red suit. The trailer left me much more enthusiastic about the show’s future than I was before, and that’s exactly what a good trailer should do.

Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Season 2 will hit Disney+ in Fall 2026.

2) VisionQuest

The trailer for VisionQuest really got me excited! It left me with tons of questions: What’s happening, and why are all the Stark Bots – DUM-E, U, JARVIS, FRIDAY, EDITH, even Ultron – now people? What is that house, and when does this story take place? Plus, there was a brief glimpse of Ruaridh Mollica as Tommy Maximoff, hinting at a potential Young Avengers connection.

The new show immediately creates the same unsettling and mysterious atmosphere as the original WandaVision trailers, reminiscent of the tone in the Vision comic book series by Tom King and Gabriel Hernandez Walta. Like WandaVision, it finds tension in everyday situations, and the opening scene – with Vision and other robots appearing as humans – perfectly captures that same eerie feeling.

I’m really looking forward to being able to pause the trailer in the future and read the short descriptions of each robot character – it all happened too quickly to take in while watching on the big screen!

VisionQuest is set to release sometime in 2026.

1) Daredevil: Born Again (Season 2)

I think the Netflix Daredevil series is the best Marvel TV show ever made. I enjoyed the first season of Daredevil: Born Again as a solid continuation of the story, so I was really excited by the trailer for Season 2. The action looks fantastic, and I’m intrigued by the hints that Matt Murdock is now a wanted man with Kingpin in charge of New York. Ultimately, I’m just a big fan of the character.

Those at New York Comic Con got to see the trailer twice! When Jessica Jones actors Krysten Ritter and Rachael Taylor came on stage, they admitted they hadn’t seen it yet, so it was played again for them. I still can’t even tell you what Jessica Jones says when she first appears, because the crowd cheered so loudly both times it was impossible to hear.

The song “Lithonia” by Childish Gambino really created the perfect mood, and the characters all looked fantastic. It was great to see Foggy again, even if it seems like we’re seeing a memory of him based on his appearance in the trailer.

Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 will release in March, 2026.
