The Danish fashion label, Rains, plans to expand its horizons by venturing into design. Recognizing the importance of providing a comprehensive lifestyle experience, they are introducing a homeware collection called “Home Away”. This assortment encompasses flasks, bowls, tumblers, and a lunch box.
Each item is skillfully fashioned from polished steel – “Durable yet not precious,” they claim. “We needed to establish our unique perspective,” says Rains co-founder Philip Lotko. “The solution could only be something modular and sleek. Items you’d want to utilize both inside and outside, every day.
The first collection primarily emphasizes kitchen necessities, and importantly, all items are designed for both indoor and outdoor use. This concept was partly influenced by the book “Biophilia” authored by the late American biologist Edward O. Wilson, who is known for his contributions to sociobiology and the theory of biophilia.
